I’m managing over 100 websites, and recently, I’ve been facing connection issues with Wordfence Central. The majority of my sites are unable to connect or sync properly. Here’s the full context:
I noticed an increased number of attacks targeting my sites, primarily from the USA and several other countries. To address this, I configured Cloudflare to block all countries except Pakistan, Australia, the Philippines, and New Zealand. Blocked traffic is redirected to Google.
After implementing these restrictions, I started experiencing issues with Wordfence scanning and Wordfence Central connections. I referred to the Wordfence documentation on troubleshooting connection issues (link) and whitelisted the recommended IP addresses in Cloudflare. Despite this, the problem persists.
Things I’ve tried so far:
It seems like the redirection to Google might be causing a conflict with Wordfence Central’s ability to communicate with the sites. I suspect the blocking rules in Cloudflare could be interfering, but I’m unsure how to resolve this while maintaining country restrictions to prevent further attacks.
Has anyone faced a similar issue or found a workaround for this? I’m looking for guidance on balancing Wordfence functionality with country-based blocking in Cloudflare.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Best regards,

I checked with Cloudfare support and they said it’s not a Cloudfare issue and nothing seems wrong in the Cloudfare account. There is no username with that email and everything else seems to be working fine. I am not facing any issues logging into WordPress as well. Since our old developer set it up, I am unable to figure out what the issue is. We are using the ‘All In One WP Security‘ plugin. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.

This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php
file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at 194.163.155.171:443
. This could mean your host’s database server is down.
This ‘liz’ is totally unfamiliar to me. The site was working a couple of days before this. It’s years since I had to deal with setting this up, and I cannot remember the exact DB_NAME I used, nor the password.
Any suggestions how I can fix it? Just create a new name and password? Tried it. Doesn’t work.
Jolt tell me the ip address above is a remote server which seems to be blocking access to their server. I’ve no idea where this would have come from. Could it be Cloudfare?

]]>I have 2 questions:
Thank you
I have a problem fetching a RSS feed which website is protected by the cloudfare DDOS Protection.
Is there a solution for that kind of trouble?
Best regards
