Fonts and Design changed after clearing cache

I used WP Rocket plugin to clear the cache on my website and after refreshing the website I could see that all the fonts had changed on all the pages and all the customisation was gone : bold text no long in bold and custom fonts were gone too.

I am principally using Chrome as my default browser but even on a private navigation window and using another browser (Safari) I can still see the same problem – same on my phone using different browsers too.

I didn’t make any changes to the main theme of the website so I am assuming this is all linked to havign cleared the cache ?

Unable to Cache my WordPress version 5.9

I’m unable to find the cache option to clear cache on the backend for my wordpress version 5.9
the problem am currently facing is that whatever changes we are implementing in the website, is not being reflected on the live (production) website. Kindly advise what to do and how I can proceed with resolving this issue, either if clearing cache is the resolution or there is something else i should be doing.

Search cache being cleared

I am caching the search results. But every time I make a new post, the search cache is cleared.
I noticed that the search cache is registered as:
meta-wp-cache-a237583666197c307d82bdca876d7b2b.php
and
wp-cache-a237583666197c307d82bdca876d7b2b.php

How do I prevent these files from being deleted when I post?
Remembering that the directive
“Clear all cache files when a post or page is published or updated.” is disabled.

stability: Sporadic missing fields and images (A2 specific features enabled)

Short version:
Enabling the plugin made my site unstable such that not only could new changes not take effect (which is easy to test) but I had to test every little piece of the site because random parts would just disappear on different pages each time I made changes to the site.

Long detailed version:
My site is on WordPress with Elementor Pro (customized Hello Theme). I’m on A2hosting’s Turbo Max plan. So the A2 specific features of the plugin can be used.

I enabled A2optimized from this screen under cpanel (https://ibb.co/RYhyWZ2), it installed the A2optimized plugin and the W3 total cache, all the options shown in the image were enabled including all the optimization options (Swiftcache/Memcached/TurboCache). Within wordpress, all the possible optimization options were enabled and showed a green checkmark, the warnings tab had no warnings.

In terms of webserver, the (LiteSpeed Web Cache Manager) is on default (disabled) for my wordpress installation.

I was initially on A2’s drive plan which couldn’t really handle this plugin due to resource limitations and the main page would load in 10.5 seconds. On switching to the top tier shared hosting (Turbo Max) plan, the load time was reduce to 5.5 seconds before enabling caching. After caching using this plugin was enabled, the load time went down to 2.5 seconds, and every page on the site would load really fast the first time around and instantly the second time. It was a huge difference.

Then I discovered the problems. The way this works should be such that whatever you change is automatically cleared from the cache so only it gets updated automatically on next load. However Caching is disabled for the admin user by default. So I found that when I made changes to the site, I would see them when logged in but no one else would. I had to not only log out, but clear all browser data from chrome and firefox and retest every part of the site.

So I wanted to figure out where to clear the cache from. It wasn’t clear what the recommended way to do this was since there were so many places and caches to consider.

The W3 plugin has menu options to clear each cache separately disk cache, db cache, media query string and many others. A2optimized was showing a warning when you open the W3 screen that there is no need to adjust any options there.

An option on each post/page was shown to clear it from the cache right which was useful if that specific page didn’t show up.

From cpanel A2 optimized screen, an option to clear cache appears under (Turbocache) section. This last one was usually the one I had the most luck with in that using it alone would allow my changes to take effect, without breaking new ones.

What problems were caused:

– I have a photo on top of every page, in some cases when clearing the cache, the whole photo would be missing. The photos are all optimized and sized. This would happen randomly on a different photo whenever clearing cache. I would try to open the page and resave it, or clearing the cache again until the issue is fixed. It never happens if A2optimized is uninstalled.

– I have a standard elementor form (contact request) and (demo request), they have a few fields including a (Name) field. On clearing the cache, the names fields on the forms would disappear, I would have to open the page, resave it, try to rename the field, but usually, changing position, saving, then changing it back and saving fixes it. It never happens if A2optimized is uninstalled.

– I have a typical pricing table with 3 columns for different plans, sometimes on clearing cache, the columns would get distorted so the headers are unreadable. It never happens if A2optimized is uninstalled.

Conclusion: While the benefit from the speed is awesome, the cost on stability is unacceptable and forced me to uninstall the plugin for now, which is sad since these turbo features are part of what is advertised on the hosting plan, along with additional related costs I’m sure. It would be great if this can be fixed even if I can turn off some options that might have greater impact on stability, but I don’t know where to start as there are so many options in A2optimized and W3.

Issue with disallowed tags

Hi,

We recently start using YARPP and are facing an issue with disallowed tags.

Basically we have set up a special tag “expired” so when we add it to a post this post should be excluded from related posts everywhere.

But what we found out is that, after adding the tag, posts that were already linking to the excluded post are still linking to it.

If we change something in the config or update the post linking to the excluded one the related posts are recalculated and it’s working fine. But if not it looks like the related posts are not refreshed and all the concept of expiration doesn’t work (unless we manually clear the cache every other day).

What would you recommend to tackle this?

Deleted images in media, but website still loads them.

Hi,

I deleted and replaced most images on my website, but when I refresh or run a website speed test, the old file still loads. I permanently deleted the old files in ‘media’, and already cleared the cache via browser and plugin, but that did not fix the problem. Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you.

Clearing Cache Doesn’t always work…

When I am making changes to my website, I can see the changes in the live editor view…but when I view the page in a new tab or visit the website the changes are not seen. I always make sure I have saved/updated before viewing so it’s not that.

I have been clearing the cache and cookies and all that stuff…sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. And it doesn’t matter if I am on the laptop, the ipad or my iphone, if it gets into one of these funks clearing the cache on any device doesn’t help it.

Is there anything else I can do?

Also, I tried viewing the website in a different browser (Safari as opposed to Google) and Safari didn’t show the changes either.

Cache Won’t Clear

Hi,
Recently, we had an issue with a Woocommerce upgrade. After we applied the fixes and then cleared the WP Fastest Cache we noted that there was no difference and the fixes results could not be seen.

We temporary disabled WPFC and the fixes started working again. We enabled WPFC and cleared the cache again (several times) and they stopped working again. We no it is not a conflict issue these fixes are on other sites that work using WPFC – we figure you may know the answer?

Cache not cleaning up. 13GB of cached files

I’m experiencing a rather annoying issue. The cache are not being cleared from the server when I press the clear cache button and there’s 13GB of data already in the comet-cache directory even 3 months old, despite the settings in the plugin.

Also, cached files are not deleted when the plugin is deactivated.

I’m running the free version of the plugin.

Does Falcon clear cache when forms are filled in?

My site primarily collects data through Formidable forms. If I activate Falcon, will it clear the cache when a form is submitted? The reason being users need to see the updated data they have submitted immediately, and if it only clears at a later date, then they will be working on old data.
