]]>I contacted the developers of Essential Grid and they were very helpful in tracking down the issue. This is the response that I received from the plugin developers:
So we installed it on our dev system and can confirm now that the hook that they do to overwrite tinyMCE is missing some functionality.
The function getContent() is not available and producing this error. Unfortunately they do not deliver any comparable function to this. I can modify this on your server so that the version you are using will work, but all editors inside of essential grid will most likely not work properly then. Other than that, you could ask the support from the plugin for an equivalent for getContent() and if it is not existing, if they are willing to add it to their library.
As a temporary fix, we’ve modified our essential grid plugin to not call getContent() which, as mentioned above, breaks Essential Grid’s editors. The other downside to this is that we need to manually make this change every time Essential Grid is updated.
So it would be nice to have this solved within the CK Editor plugin so that everything can work in harmony. Is there any way that a fix can be applied to CK Editor for this?
Thanks for the help.
]]>could you please make this wonderful plugin compatible with WP 4.0? There are some bugs since updating:
– Switching between HTML and Visual tab not possible anymore
– Insert Images not possible anymore
I made a blog and used before the CKEditor. Everything worked perfectly.
Then after updateing WordPress when I want to write a post I cannot switch between HTML and Visual … as these two buttons are not visible any more … I have no clue what happened …
I deleted the CKEditor … and reinstalled it again but nothing works … There is still a window where I can write sth in as you can see here: https://lass-los-und-lebe.com/test-test-test/
but it is not possoble to switch between visual and HTML …
and the wird thing at the same time I made a new Blog with same plugins, same theme, same WP version and there is works …
So I really need some help!
Thanks,
Angelina
]]>Ironically, my site and all of its underlying pages are showing up just fine when the corresponding URL is inputted in any browser.
It is true that I have not updated various plug-ins that I’ve been offered for some time (likely since I first installed the site in late 2011)…but would that be the actual cause? At this point,
most all of the screens associated with the various left hand side bar column tabs are displaying blank screens alongside them, inclusive of the plug-ins tab, with the exception of the CK editor tab…which is displaying its content alongside just fine.
The CK editor tab DOES show that I have seven updates, and four plug-ins waiting that need to be updated…but I can’t accept or make those updates because as I said, when I go to the plug-in or updates tabs in the left sidebar…they just shows a blank screen alongside.
Frustrating. Any thoughts, everyone? Your wisened help/advice would be profoundly appreciated. Thanks!
]]>Problem two is that we are using YooTheme Widgetkit and it causes issues when you try to make a new widget in widgetkit where the WYSIWYG doesnt show up unless you click Visual and then when you go to save the new widget in widgetkit it doesn’t save.
]]>First post
When using CKeditor to change the font, text color, etc, the highlighted/selected text loses the highlight when clicking on the appropriate editing color/font/or other icon and so as a result, no change is made to the text.
How can I remedy this and get the editing facility back?
All other plugins have been deactivated.
Am using a theme created with Artisteer
Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
Second post
Even on the CKEditor demo website, highlighting the text then trying to change its size, color and font does not work! Also paste does not appear to work.
Am I doing something wrong?
