[Theme: Citizen Kane] How to achieve website like template picture

I have been trying many different templates in an attempt to create a “news” style website/blog. The demo pic that accompanies this template displays something very close to what I am trying to acheive.

Unfortunately this template (along with virtually every other one I have tried) does not seem to include any functionality to obtain these results. The theme options are all pretty well standard WP basic, all designed to display the standard “blogroll” with only a few customizations of color etc.

Specifically I would like to arrange my content into columns. I would like to have two main columns, perhaps one of them a bit more prominent that would include “Featured items” and a standard sidebar would also work.

Is this only acheivable via customized CSS work? Does Citizen Kane include anything that will acheive what the template pic displays?

Installed 35 themes ok, but Citizen-Kane not showing

I installed 35 themes on WordPress Multisite and just enabled all them and installed on separate sites, but citizen-kane was not wisible, even though the folder with all the files is among the other ones (and style.css is in there too, I also changed all the permissions to 755, not sure what they were before).

I also tried to install this theme by going through Themes->Add New, but that did not work either. Is there any way to figure out what is going on?

Pages aren’t being returned in the search results.

I’ve searched high and low to find out why but nothing works. I’ve tried extended search plugins to “include” pages in search results and still nothing… what’s going on???

Please help

I utilize a plugin for firefox called “noscript”. This theme would not show up properly until I temporarily enabled the script for googleapis.com.

Uninstalled this theme. I refuse to have any tracking script on my blog.

Blog Post Image – Change Standard Placer?

I am using autoblogging software on this site www.xbox-arena.com and, since I am not managing them at the time they post, a grey box shows up. I thought that was an image but I can not find it in the source files to replace it with the site’s logo.

Any ideas on how to change the grey’d out area to show a standard image?

Change # of Displlayed Posts on Home Page?

@modemlooper … Where can I change the # of posts displayed on the home page of Citizen Kane. There’s the Featured Spot with 1 and beneath that 10 displayed posts. I’d like to be able to tweak that # to 12 or 8 … I tried the .css files and index.php but didn’t spot the point to change.

One other minor thing, these Posts hide lines of text above them when the post has more than one line of text. Any way to tweak that too?

Theme out of box is good. Clean design. Somewhat minimalist

Logo is easy to change. (Logo is in image subfolder of theme. Just upload your own loan, and change name to logo.png )

Shortcoming is that while you can develop a more customized homepage, the directions are minimal and somewhat vague.
