Cannot Backdate Posts beyond 1970

Hi, I want to publish a history blog in the form of a medieval chronicle. For this, I need each post to be published with a 14th-century date (i.e. the date of the event chronicled in the post).
I am using WordPress 5.01 and Gutenberg, and it seems that I cannot backdate the posts beyond 1970.
Is it possible to override this limit and really choose any (back)date imaginable for a post ?

PHP Compatibility Checker – have a “clean up” button

After failed or hung scans there are files left on the system,
and chron may need something done to it.

It would be handy to have a “cleanup” button, that would just run a script to clean up the mess after a bad scan.

Even though the next scan may replace the files (which is why the results from the previous scan get lost/overwritten), the user may not be too keen to run a scan just to clear some files.
They migt prefer to clean now, and scan later.

What ever needs to be done with chron, would be really handy if some of the common fixes were button triggered, to save typing, and having to research how to do the fixes.
Maybe more than one button – one button for each “fix” process.

500 errors, Resource Usage, 404’s, chron

Super iThemes novice here but I am getting 500 server errors and resource overages. I’m trying to figure this out. It’s a tiny little website, tigermountainfoundation.org.

My hosting company says my error log is full of iThemes errors.

My iThemes logs show a bunch of 404s. I don’t know what iThemes doing.

Plus, is this plugin hard to remove?

When I make an article on my site, I am getting a comment on my dashboard and a message in my emails saying a new ping is waiting for approval…

It is coming from a file in my own cluster????
My web host says it has been configured in my jetpack plugin

I have set something up with jetpack? (that I do not know about)

Schedule a specific post status to change at regular times

I’d like to put a function or action in our functions.php that automatically publishes ONE specific post at a specific times during the week, then returns it to draft status after a few hours. This would be reoccuring for that specific post. EX:

Monday-Friday
3pm: published — 10pm: draft

Saturday/Sunday
3pm: published — 830pm: draft

I’ve been looking at WP-Cron, and Post Status Transition, but haven’t quite figured out making them work together. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I’d duly appreciate it. THANKS!

How to stop chron from using too much CPU?

Hi everyone,

My host informed me that I used up my entire monthly allowed usage of 600000 CPU seconds of my website. They said that this was because of wp-chron. I disabled it as they recommended, but now I can’t send scheduled posts.

What can I do? Does anyone know why I am getting this CPU overage? I need to avoid this, because my website took my site offline when I exceeded this. I need to be able to use scheduled posts. What to do?

i received this initially a couple of days ago, and it prompted me to upgrade to 2.2, which was great (and i’m really loving this version, btw).

this morning, i find this message has been sent again? is it something that i have inadvertantly set in my WP settings that is generating it?
