I found out that the WP Email Users does not send out the email if I have some Chinese characters in the Template Subject (email subject). It’s fine with Chinese characters within the Message/body of the email.

Hello,

I have running website without any issue on centos 6, i recently transfer my website to new centos 7 install. my website is in chinese/englih which was correctly shows even not a single . is miss during transfer.

but now many of the images which was uploaded in old server in upload directory is not showing because there names are in chinese like 知新资本.png but if i reupload the same picture again with same chinese name so it shows fine.

problem is there are many images and files which is not shows and shows 404 not found error. if i open in chrome so it shows misisng image icon where i can copy image so it shows like this link: https://mydomain.com.cn/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/%E7%9F%A5%E6%96%B0%E8%B5%84%E6%9C%AC.jpg

can anyone help to fix this ? maybe some setting is reset ? i will be able to do that on server level if apache miss something to support.

i use centos 7.x + centos panel latest, php 7

Please help. There are typos on https://wangjingwei.org/zh/his-ideas-cn/poetry/ So I created temporary page https://wangjingwei.org/zh/poetry-buyi/ (password is “poetry”) as a duplicate to make all the type changes so that I can replace the content by copying and pasting the code into the https://wangjingwei.org/zh/his-ideas-cn/poetry/ . As I make corrections and save them, the VC row containing the tabs disappeared and all the tabs also disappeared with the FAQ now on top of each other on https://wangjingwei.org/zh/poetry-buyi/. Not only that, half of the data is missing. This happened to me 3 times. Any idea what’s wrong? Is there a limit to amount of data allowed on a page? I do have over 400 FAQs inside tabs on but https://wangjingwei.org/zh/his-ideas-cn/poetry/ has been working fine for 10 months the new page has no more data, I just need to make corrections.
Any thoughts?

Hello,

I have a bug with this specific Chinese character : ?

It does not display in some browsers, like all Android browsers, some browsers on PC but not all, difficult to have details about that. There is no problem with any Mac desktop or iOS browsers. And it’s just that character… the others are fine.
I have been trying to change the Chinese font with smth very common like :

font-family: 'Open Sans', "宋体", "SimSun", "华文细黑", "STXihei", sans-serif

but it does not change.

I thought it was a theme problem until I tested on another WP site, hosted on another server… and I had the same problem..

you can try over there :

check the language switcher. The second character of 中? should not been displayed correctly for some of you. especially if you check with and Android phone 5.1.1
and there :

I have been trying this character in other parts of the website, page title, menu, simple text… it does not work, and it seems that it’s the other one.

Anybody knows about this bug ?

I have search a lot of documentation about the encoding method in the wordpress,but they could not sove my problem.
My problem is I can store traditional chinese correctly in the sql database with all the other pages and post but When i made a menu in traditional chinese and click save menu the chinese character turn into messy code.I need to modify them in the database table so that it can display correctly. I want to know how to solve this problem.Thanks very much.

I have a problem with “email share” on title with mixed Chinese/english characters. In many cases, title doesn’t show up correctly (sometimes with jumble character). In addition, sometimes the body of the e-mail doesn’t show up.

Hi XCloner,

I found that your plugin met some Chinese character error.
When I restored my backup, I saw “error while opening… … … in write binary mode”. The … showed non word character.
That was a image file in Chinese.

When I used WinRAR and open the TAR, I saw the wrong file name(gibberish) for all Chinese named file.

Please kindly check it.
