Changes are not being saved. PLEASE assist!
Thanks,
Joe
I am new to forums in general, so apologies ahead of time for any mistakes I will make. Especially on tagging the topic.
At first I was able to change the name under site title in settings. I also added a tagline, clicked Save and Publish and that stuck. This was yesterday.
Today I go into customize my theme, I uploaded photos into the media library. They successfully upload – either by dragging and dropping or by the file browser. After I use them once from that step, they disappear when I go to another customization that requires a picture.
Nothing is “saving and publishing” I have no active plugins, I think the two that are there were automatically put there. Akismet Anti-Spam and Hello Dolly.
Please help!!! Thank you for your time in advance.
]]>I have a new website to build, and earlier today I installed WordPress. Installed my theme and plugins, and then noticed that any changes I made to the theme would not publish. So, after the usual disable plugins routine… still nothing. Switched to the generic “Twent-Sixteen” theme. Still couldn’t save changes.
So I reinstalled WordPress… no plugins installed, no theme. Used the 2016 theme again… still can’t save changes.
I am now on my 5th install of WordPress and still end up with the same results. Using the customize option within the theme, add a logo or make any change at all… won’t save. I can click “Save & Publish” and it gives me the little loading circle for a few seconds, and then goes tight back to “Save & Publish”. Never switches to “Saved”.
I have already increased my post_max_size, timeout settings, and a few other things I can’t remember. Nothing helped.
I have been using WordPress for years and I have never come across this. It’s extremely frustrating and if anyone can help me out that would be great. Remember, I have absolutely 0 plugins installed, and just for basics trying to use the 2016 theme that came with it. No other themes installed. Brand spanking new installation.
]]>1) After placing an image, the first line of text following the image gets aligned left automatically. If I indent to where I want it, and then click save, it again aligns left when the page reloads. This happens with the first line of text after every image, regardless of how much space I put btwn the image and the text.
2) None of my font sizes are saving to the actual pages. In the editor I make the title huge, and subtitles relatively large (using the Header 1, 2, or 3 selections). But on the actual web site, they show up just a tad bigger than the article text, and there is no difference in size between the title and the subtitles, even though one is “heading 1” and the other is “heading 3” size.
Thanks
]]>She wants to remove some things on this page, but when I log into her wordpress (wp-admin) account, this page is COMPLETELY different than what I see what I access the .com page.
I have come to find that if I type in www.homestead-kennels.com/home than the information on this page is what I see as the “HOME” page in the wp-admin.
How do I keep the www.homestead-kennels.com formatted page and make sure that this is what I am editing under the wp-admin “HOME” page??
]]>When I go to the list of posts and reselect it, sometimes the new text is there and sometimes its not. I’m at a loss. I’ve tried it with different versions of WP with the same results. Because it is affecting multiple sites and I’m not running multi-site I think it must somehow be related to the server but I don’t have a clue how that could be the case.
