New Themes Not Loading After Upgrade to 2.6.3

Hello,

I have managed a WordPress blog for a few years and upgraded my blog many time before, but for some reason after I upgraded my blog to 2.6.3, no themes will load when I select them from the Available Themes section on the theme admin page.

The WordPress default theme is being displayed, but when I select any of the themes pictured under Available Themes they do not load. This goes for the WordPress Classic theme which comes with the WordPress install. After I select the them a box pops up showting that it is loading, but it never does anything and there are no error messages.

I granted all permissions to my wp-content folder, reinstalled WordPress three or four times, and did eveything I could think of to see if I was missing something.

Anyone have a suggestion? I am a little puzzled by this one.

Cannot Change Themes

I recently installed WordPress on my website (hosted through blackapplehost.com…not the greatest, but free). Everything works great, I can post to it, view it, etc. However, I cannot seem to get the themes to change. I can see the themes that I’ve installed but when I click on them to activate them nothing happens. The preview does not appear, and there seems to be no way to activate them. Any ideas? Is it simply the consequence of using a less than stellar web host? Thanks

ok .. i’ve got WP up and working to at least post into, and I’ve downloaded several different themes, but I can’t seem to get it to change to anything other than the basic format that came with the download — can’t even get it to change to the alternate default!

Unable to change theme

I’m new to blogging and would like to choose a theme from your directory but cannot do so. What do I need to do? It says to save in in my wp-directory…where is that?

I have saved the zip file in my documents but cannot upload from there.

Need your help I’ve been working for this for 1 hr already.

I just installed 2.6.2 and it will not change themes. I have completely redone install twice with same problem. Any suggestions

Cannot change to new theme

I just got a new domain… installed WordPress into the root.

When I went to the site there was a message to upgrade to ver 2.6.1… which I did.

Uploaded a couple of new themes.

Went to the “Design” page and the new themes were there.

But, there isn’t anyway to select a new theme… if I click on the theme it just shows me what the blog will look like with the new theme, but I can’t change from the “Default” to one of the new ones.

Please advise.
