Display only category and subcategories filters in category page

Hello, I’ve been using the Advanced AJAX Product Filters plugin for quite a few years now without any problems. Now, I was requested to do the following:
When you visit the category page Cats, I want the filter to show the category Cats along with its subcategories (food, toys, beds etc). I tried the option Page same as filter: Leave only one value, but it displays only the main category (as it should). Is there a workaround to display both the main category and its subcategories?
The shop has products that belong to more than one category (eg Cats, Dogs, Toys).

Woocomerce verison 9.0.2.

It seems perhaps i did not prepare or set up well…. but.

I have set up a parent site, and several children sites. All news type sites. I have added categories gradually to all sites as time went on. Now I notice i have a problem. I am trying to broadcast say Local News to child sites, except it comes up as in a different category on the child… say Fashion news… as they both have the same Cat ID (55), even though I labelled them differently, because I approached this ad hoc over time.

WHat would be the best fix? a plug in? or relabel all the categories throughout all the child sites and parent ? TIA

Currently if you click on About Us > Trail News it links to the trail-news category.

How can I modify the navigation so Trail News links to whatever the latest post is in that category?

I’ve been looking through the codex / past projects / the internet, and I can’t seem to find what I’m looking for. Maybe someone here can help?

I am making a category template. I need all the posts in the current category to be ordered by comment count. I figure I can pull the current category ID into a variable and then throw in an arguments array.

The sticker? I can’t seem to pull the current category ID, I know this is probably easy, but its eluding me. Suggestions? Help?

I have a category that I place a few articles into that get displayed in a flash slider on my front page. I don’t want this category to be accessible directly via the navigation anywhere on my site. How can I prevent this category from being displayed?

I have a script that’s making a custom post from a .csv file

Their is a row called Category where i set the post category, but the script just sets the category to uncatagorized. it used to work on old wordpress im sure

the code is

$my_post[‘post_category’] = prep($row[‘category’]);

anybody know a fix for this?

and i associated that category with a post.

I have a link next to the wordpress title in a post post which needs to goto the website specified in the category when clicked?
