How do I embed a feed of articles/categories like this link, https://d3head.com/category/buying-guides/, but for a page instead. Is there short code to embed within the page?

I want to have an RSS feed of just one category from our news site (https://www.pages.pharmacy.pitt.edu/epittpharmacy/category/pharmacogenetics/) but when I enter this as my feed, it gets all items from (https://www.pages.pharmacy.pitt.edu/epittpharmacy/) What am I doing wrong?

I was testing this plugin, and it looks great!
We can really improve the rss easily, without having to look and change codes, etc… BUT….

Do we have any way to make it work in category feeds too?

I mean in things like https://domain.com/category/categoryslug/feed/

When we go there the RSS generated is the default one, not the really nice made by FInRss… D-:

Grabbing from certain category’s

After following the directions Here I am stuck with an issue. It works yes but i am wanting it to grab from a specific category and not from the entire board. can this be possible?

Category feed only shows three posts

Hi all,

I’m trying to include a category feed in my sidebar using the RSS widget. The widget is set to display ten items. And under Settings > Reading I have “Syndication feeds show the most recent 10 items.” But only the three most recent posts are showing in the sidebar. I have tried using a “pretty URL” for the RSS feed and a category ID URL. Makes no difference.

Any ideas?

Category troubles, 404 Error

Hi,

I recently changed my perma-link structure for my categories, from the default https://blog.com/category/categoryname to https://blog.com/categoryname
but right now i have 404 errors https://blog.com/categoryname/feed

with the previous structure it is an error https://blog.com/category/categoryname/feed

Anyone know how to resolve this issue. Running on WordPress 2.9.1, didnt work on the previous version too.

Plus the pagination doesnt work now in the categories. Goin to page 2 sends the page to 404 error page.

please help.

Category feeds not working in 2.7

I’m having problems with category-specific feeds on a blog that doesn’t use pretty permalinks, i.e. the feed url looks like this:

https://www.hojnyheter.se/wp-rss2.php?cat=95

The feed resets to https://www.hojnyheter.se/?feed=rss2 and I can’t get it to only fetch the specific cat. Have been trying out a dozen different ways, results varying from 404-pages to just a normal display of the cat…

Any ideas, anyone?

Creating Custom RSS Feed

My blog contains articles on a wide variety of subjects in about a dozen categories. I am trying to figure out a way to create multiple customized RSS feeds that only include content from certain categories to feed different aggregator sites. I’m not talking about a single feed for each category, but 3 or 4 different feeds that each contain a different combination of categories. For example:

Feed 1: include all categories
Feed 2: include category 3-7-8-11
Feed 3: include category 1-2-3-7-10

I was looking at the advanced category excluder plugin thinking it might be helpful, but I didn’t see much in the way of documentation on the site.

Any ideas or suggestions would be most appreciated. On a scale of 1 to 10, my php skill level is only about a 1.
