The original plugin I’d been using was “Invisible Recapcha” which I removed as it hasn’t been updated in over 2 years and appears to be abandoned by the developer. I tried installing another plugin “Friendly Captcha for WordPress” but found this plugin had a hidden paywall and removed it. I next installed “WC Captcha” but later found a pair of plugins I found work better while making similar updates for another client’s website, and removed WC Captcha.
I then installed 2 plugins “CF7 Invisible reCAPTCHA” and “Login Security reCAPTCHA”.
I’ve verified the site and secret keys are correct in both plugins, that my domain is set up correctly in Google reCAPTCHA and have tried disabling all captcha related plugins and features and this error persists no matter what I do.
I’m wondering if any of the removed plugins left code or database entries behind after removal (WC Captcha may not be the source of this as this error was already present before removing it).
Any thoughts?

However, there is no captcha located on this page at all. Please note this is the default login form.
]]>On the front end when you try to login to your account, it will give you an error saying to solve the captcha, however, there is no captcha showing. If we deactivate the captcha for admin, then the user can log in without problem.
