Can't figure out why I can't get passed the Index/Cgi/wp

I bought my domain on NameCheap, changed the name servers to my server (asmallorange), logged into CPanel and used Softalicious to download WordPress. Now I can’t figure out why the Index/cgi/wp page comes up instead of my actual website.

It’s worth mentioning that I’m not advanced enough to write code or use linux, etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Can no longer add new theme to Network Admin

I do the following:

> My site > Network Admin > Themes > Add New

This takes me to the Add Themes page which is empty – there are no suggested themes available, only the list sorter header.

So I tried the button:

> Upload Theme

And nothing happens.

The URL for ‘Add Theme’ is:
https:///wp-admin/network/theme-install.php#

This seems to be have become a problem since the last WP update.

Any ideas?

I can edit posts but they cannot be viewed on the site once published…

I can edit and create posts but the browser spits out a NO DATA RECEIVED error when the posts are viewed directly once published. They even show up just fine on the home page, you just can click directly to them.

I am attempting to build a wordpress site using the theme ‘divi’. I have selected a static homepage in the Settings/Reading section. However, although I am able to access the edit page for the homepage I have selected, I can not view it. I have tried changing the page I select as the static homepage. Whichever page I choose, the same problem occurs. I can’t view the content. When I deselect a page, it becomes possible to view the content again. I have tried deactivating all plugins but that makes no difference. I have tried changing the active theme but that doesn’t work either. I have updated both the plugins and the themes but nothing works. Any ideas?

My site doesnt work on iphone now!

Hello,

Diligently working on my website for Kickstarter launch, 11/27/2014…

Just updated Customizr, added CSS code to enhance visual appearance, submitted sitemap to Webmaster Tools, and now my site is popping up (horrible) in mobile version (iphone)!!

**Now it’s messed up on desktop too!* Goes straight to a jumbled up “Gallery Page”**

When you hit “View Full Site,” it reverts back to the desktop theme.
Can I please get some help sorting this out?
Just happened to backup the site before this happened.

Hi,

I have taken over the management of a wordpress site (www.hostelwunderbar.com) and I tried to change the permalink ending. The system thought about it for a few minutes and now I can’t login or see any of the pages (either in wordpress or the actual website). I can’t access anything to reverse this change – what should I do? I am hosting through alfa hosting. I am not very clued up on the jargon for this either so really simple advice would be great.

Cant see the login area on mobile

Hi there. This is a great plugin but I can’t use it when I’m on an ipad or my galaxy s4. I visit m site on any of these mobile platforms and the area where the login should be us just black. I can’t zoom or move the screen to find it either. So my customers essentially can’t login through any mobile platforms. Do you have any suggestions?

Blank editing screen?

Hey all,

Having some trouble with my new .org page (www.hautemealz.com). All of my posts look great, once published, but the text is blank when I open the editing screen.

I’ve been writing my posts on my old .com page, then transferring the text over, but (obviously) that’s a pain.

Any ideas on why I can’t view my posts in edit, or new post mode?

problems veiwing text in google chrome

Hello, ive been setting my site up using firefox, ip, and safari (on a mac) to make sure everything works for different browsers. Ive just been told that the text is hard to read in chrome, so i downloaded it and sure enough it is. I checked on the forum and tried a few things, deactivating plugs etc, but no joy!!! Can someone please help as im stuck for things to do!!

Can't see older posts

Ok I don’t get it. I’ve tried everything I know and looked on the net and found nothing. I”m using the Smashing MultiMedia theme and also using the WP-PageNavi plugin. When I click on the older post link at the bottom it just shows me the same new posts over and over again. Please somebody help!
