Redirect to posts directory after page update

I’ve recently come across an issue whereby each time I try to update my Services page, I’m redirected to my posts directory without the update happening correctly. I refreshed my .htaccess file, cleared caches but this hasn’t fixed it. It appears to only affect my Services page. I’ve not seen this before and I’ve made no plugin changes.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Hi All,
Having a problem with our website. It’s a custom template, but this problem is recent.
When I go to certain pages, not all, make a change and click update, I get an error page. I disabled all plugins, cleared cache, updated WP, updated all plugins, and I am out of ideas. I had a similar problem a few months ago, added a line of code to the htaccess file, and all was hunky dory.
Suddenly, we now have this problem and I am at a total loss. Any and all help is greatly appreciated, as I can’t edit any of the pages that I actually need to! The site is www.boblocksmith.com. If you go into the site, you’ll see a menu item called “areas we serve”, and you’ll be taken to a page with a bunch of links to various towns. It is those pages, and only those pages, that I can’t edit, although I can edit the parent page that contains those links.

Get the spinning arrow, never stops spinning, won’t let me
update anything when I click the Edit Portfolio Entry tab.

Used to work fine; AFAIK, I haven’t changed anything. I’ve
tried updating everything a few times, hasn’t helped.

404 Error when i click publish

Hi i need some help with this 404 error i am getting. I have moved the site from one server to another. the whole site works, its just when i update an existing page or when i try to add a new page, i get a 404 error.

Get this, when i switch themes, it works perfectly fine.

I have:
updated permalinks
updated htaccess manually
changed permissions
contacted the theme support and they were no help.

and no luck with any of it.

any help is appreciated, thank you.

Help.

I still see the admin bar of wordpress even if I’m logged out, and I cant make any change to any page.

The problem appeared after a network error when updating a page.

I dont have any cache plugin and I also removed the folder of the “under construction” plugin

Hello I just recently updated my wordpress to 3.5.2 yesterday. Everything was working and saving fine until today. I can’t update ANY of my pages. There is not update button for me to click anymore. It just disappeared?

Can't update page

I can’t seem to update a particular page after upgrading to 3.4.2. I have shopp plugin installed and all was working fine until upgrading. Now I can’t edit the page. I can put text or html into the editor but after hitting update nothing happens. I have tried deactivating all plugins and still no go. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Oops that wasn't found when trying to update a static page

One of my pages needs additional content. I have a few paras in a word doc. I cut and paste it into the box ‘paste from word’ and then update and each time I put this specific set of paragraphs in, I get the Oops that wasn’t found message. I can paste completely different text in to that page and it accepts it. I have pasted the same text into another website.. and it was accepted. I have started a new page and used the same text and it will not accept it. I have checked any formatting in the text, tried to paste it as plain text.. no luck.
A friend tried it on his computer.. same problem. I have used different browser.. same problem.
I can’t even paste one paragraph of the offending text into the page. Has anyone ever come across this? it is very strange!

Can't Update Page Status, Can't Erase Page, Can't Update Content Either!

I have a self hosted installation of WP v3.0.1 – I haven’t added any plugins recently and haven’t made any changes… which is why this problem is very odd.

Anyways, I tried adding a page to my blog but I needed to update another page which was already published based on the new page I added. I went to the old “published page” I needed to update and when I entered the new info and clicked on “Publish” nothing happened, the new info I entered disappeared and the page was not updated.

I tried changing the status of the page from published to “Draft” and then back to “published” again to see if I could update the page content after a status change but now I can’t change the status of the page to “published” .. it keeps showing up as “draft”

When I click on “edit” next to “status” I see a drop down with 2 options:

Pending Review
Draft

There is no way for me to change this to published back again. I tried clicking on the big obvious “Publish” button which is supposed to change the status of the page from draft to published but this doesn’t change the status nor does it update the page content when I add the modified info.

I HAVE:

Cleared my cookies/cache because I thought it was a problem related to that, nothing helped. I have tried with Firefox, IE, Chrome … nothing!

I am at my wits end here, I don’t know whats wrong! This is extremely frustrating…
