Site down can’t install plugins or reset

I was getting the “The Link You Followed Has Expired” when trying to create a new page on a brand new site.
I googled and came across wpbeginner fix so I followed directions and put this code on the theme under the functions.php file

@ini_set( ‘upload_max_size’ , ‘120M’ );
@ini_set( ‘post_max_size’, ‘120M’);
@ini_set( ‘max_execution_time’, ‘300’ );

Now I’m totally frozen. I can’t install anything to reset WP nor can I find the code where I put it to erase it and see if that is what caused my issues.

Can anyone help?

Cannot install plugins on new wordpress site

Hi All,

I am installing a new wordpress site on one of my virtual servers and I am unable to install or get plugins/updates. When you click on plugins I get an internal server error. In the logs it says the following: I have confirmed that the site url is correct, and I have enabled debugging and this is the only error I get. Most people say this is a network issue however I am having trouble pinpointing the exact cause. Please help

I already change all of the permission on wpcontent/uploads to 777 still don’t work
I host on aws ec2 and run bitnami stack

This is the second plugin I’ve attempted to install. So either I’m doing something wrong, or there’s something else wrong. Both times, I’ve gotten the message, “The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature”.

I want to update my WP but i have not backed up my database yet. I tried to do that by installing the updraft plugin, but it would not install. It turned out it wasnt just that plugin but that i can’t install plugins at all. In the beginning i got a message that looked somewhat like this:

a few days ago my Photocrati site started to only upload images to my galleries sporadically. And so I decided to tidy a few things up including a few plug ins. Now my site is not uploading any images, which is very stressful as this is my e-commerce side of things. I also can’t reinstall any plug ins now. I get this error;

I can’t back up in order to upgrade to the latest version of WP either.

For the past two weeks trying to install wp / curationfire plugin and every time this message “Unable to create directory uploads/2013/10 . Is its parent directory writable by the server ? “

After searching in all forums solution to this problem ( it took me a full two weeks ! ) , And analysis of the whole system , I gave up .
Recently I wanted to install ” your ” plugin ” Blogger Image Import ” and I got the same answer , “Unable to create directory uploads/2013/10 . Is its parent directory writable by the server ? “

What’s going on ! ? Is this some kind of joke ! ?
I assume your blog not so much to have fun but to earn money .

Please answer me why I have such problems with my blog ?

Set as admin, but cant add/delete plugins, edit files or auto update WP?!

So my account is set to admin. I can add users, but I cant add or erase plugins, as well I cant use the editor to edit any files, nor can I use the auto update to update wordpress. I get a message along the lines of “A wordpress update is available please contact the administrator”.

Things I have tried:
1) Manual wordpress update – Im now on the latest one.
2) Adding new admin user – They still have the same problem as me
3) Checking phpmyadmin metadata – (screenshot here)
4) Checking phpmyadmin users – (screenshot here)
5) Resetting the username and password – (screenshot here)

I am stumped…any ideas?!

I am unable to install any of the latest versions of plugins actually on the site, or any new plugins. The message is:-
Could not create directory. /home/toymas/public_html/infomarketingdailyreport.com/wp-content/upgrade/google-affiliate-network.tmp/google-affiliate-network

This is happening to any plugin I try to install on my site, or any plugin that needs upgrading. It is only recently, since I upgraded to the latest version. I don’t think it has anything to do with the upgrading to the latest version, because I have another site using the same WordPress theme and version, and I uploaded the google affiliate plugin successfully.
Please can you help me get this put right – I will be very grateful
