I’m trying to do some simple calculations, but I can’t seem to get the calculate button to work:

right now, when I preview test this, it gives me my answer as I enter them in the boxes and seems to disregard the button entirely:

I’m still trying to figure this out, but ultimately I’d like each of the buttons to preform different calculations ‘on click’ based on what numbers are in the fields and spit the answer out in the same ‘Answer’ calculated field at the bottom.

seems simple, but I’m stuck on some aspect of it.. any help?

I recently installed the calculated field form which has created the form exactly as i wanted it but im having problems “locking it in”

My form is a kind of instant quotation – it asks a few questions then gives an estimated cost to complete the work.

The trouble im having is:

The user fills in the form and hits the “calculate” button, this reveals a total cost field (which i hid until the calc button was pressed) but now the total cost field is exposed, the user can adjust the form and see the total cost figure decreasing/increasing as they play with the form and by doing so, work out the individual costs which i don’t want them to.

What i want to do is lock the form after they pressed the “calculate” button and the “total cost” field is exposed. They then have to reset the form and start again if they want to make adjustments, hit the calculate button and see a new “total cost” figure……..

I am a hairy arsed builder! a complete newb to this kind of thing, so please offer any solutions as though you were talking to a five year old!

I hid the total figure field by inserting: jQuery( ‘.fieldname21’ ).removeClass( ‘hide’ ); into the OnClick event of the calculate button i created (which i stole from another posts solution) if this helps?

It is possible that everytime the user change the no. of terms and click the calculate button it will automatically produce new monthly payment?

Like the user don’t need to click the reset button

I want to rid of Calculate button because eshop ships only to one state – Czech republic – no regions etc. I had searched for this topis but was not succesful. Is there any chance to set the shipping state fixed? Maybe some hack in code or something?

And another thing – How can i ensure that specific shipping method is choosen as default? I tried to erase that and create them in order i want to be choosen but nothing changed. Have anybody found some solution for this?
