I am unable to add any featured image in my old and new posts. Whenever I click on featured image, I get a empty white screen, wherein nothing is displayed.

I did some troubleshooting, and I found that the SCHEME plugin is causing the issue. When I disable the plugin, it works but when enabled it doesn’t.

For now I am using “Enable jQuery Migrate Helper” plugin as a temporary solution. Please check into this.
