I’m encountering a specific challenge on my WooCommerce site and would appreciate any guidance or solutions you might have.
Problem Overview:
I am trying to reassign bulk products to new categories on my WooCommerce site. For this task, I have attempted using two plugins: the Bulk Category Editor and the Yith plugin. While both plugins allow me to change the categories of products in bulk, neither offers the functionality to set one of these new categories as the primary category.
Detailed Explanation:
When I assign new categories to a product, it ends up with multiple associated categories. For example, a product might be listed under “For home and garden > Electrical products.” However, neither of these categories gets designated as the primary category. This discrepancy is evident as the products’ categories update in the backend, but not on the front-end. The backend even shows the “set as primary” option, but this requires manual intervention, which is not feasible for the large number of products I need to update.
Key Issue:
The core of the problem is the inability of the mentioned plugins to automatically designate a primary category during the bulk category reassignment process. This results in incomplete category updates on the front-end, affecting the organization and presentation of products on my website.
Request for Assistance:
Any insights, suggestions, or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I am looking for a solution that minimizes manual work and ensures that the primary category is set correctly during the bulk update process.
Thank you in advance for your help and expertise!
Best regards
]]>My concern is this section from the link above (specifically the part in bold):
Download Files This field can accept a valid web address of a file, an absolute path on a filesystem, or the bucket/filename.ext on an Amazon S3 instance.?Multiple files are?separated by the vertical bar like |. Note that file names can not be entered separately but will be automatically generated using the file’s name.
When I add a download file on the backend of the website I see that the File Names are automatically generated via the file that we upload (for downloading) and I always have to remember to change them to our naming convention. It sounds like this will be the same when we upload the bulk products .csv
We are uploading three different filetypes for each downloadable product. They all follow the same pattern and it fairly simple:
Is there a way to upload the csv with a column that has DWG | PDF | REVIT in it for each product and have that populate the File Name?
If not, is there a way via the database or via some sort of bulk editing to go in and change all the automatically generated File Names to fit our simple naming system?
This seems like it should just be a field in the database related to the file url and we should be able to quickly reset the field to have the same value for everything.
We just don’t want to have to go into each of the 100s if not 1000s of products we have and rename the three File Names over and over again.
Can you help with this?
]]>I’ve deactivated/reactivated the plugin along with deleting any other plugins that could conflict. Removed caching plugins as well but no luck.
I have tried to use the bulk editor on products price, but when I update the price changes do not take place.
I think this may be because I have color variants, but the price change also doesn’t take place when the product doesn’t have a variant.
Is there a way this can be done more efficiently – I am having to manually update prices, and it is becoming a laborious task.
Any ideas about how I can speed up the process would be gratefully received.
Thanks

]]>Long story short,i have a wordpress website, i`ve 100 embed videos on it.
I changed the Title Post and the permalink manually in my wordpress and it works for example :
Title Post : New WordPress user Video ( video being my added keyword )
Permalink https://mywebsite.com/VideoCategory/new-wordpress-user-video
I want now to add extra keywords to the Titles and change permalinks like above but in BULK, not manually, takes a lot of time for 100 videos and for the future videos i will embed. Is exporting data base, modify in excel a method? If yes how do i do it.What are the exact steps to do that, add new excel column etc? Or is there a plugin for me to do that?
Thank you so much
