As a paid Ninja Forms Pro user, I had high hopes for Ninja Forms as I really liked its modular build and the fact that it has a User Management Add-on. However, I’m sorry to have to say that I’m disappointed. I’ve had nothing but trouble with some of its features, battling bug after bug after bug. The technical support team is friendly and helpful, but I’ve lost so much time and money putting in support ticket after support ticket. I’d steer clear if you intend to use it for more than very basic form needs.

Awful. Just plain awful.

I have never used a more frustrating plugin. Basic options are not intuitive. Want to change the text color? Hunt for it, under one of two “Highlight” options.

Want to see the actual plugin options by clicking the Otter Blocks link in the dashboard? Nope, it will never load. There are 5 tabs on that page and not a single one will load, the wheel just spins around and around.

And sloooooow….WP is already pretty inefficient with your time. Otter Blocks really steps that up a notch. Combined with having to hunt for basic features, you won’t get much done in an hour.

Decide you want to remove it because it is awful? No can do, friend, your site is now broken. You’re going to have to repair the entire thing.

Works, but is buggy

This plugin does enable you to connect a WordPress website to Make.com

But it’s also very buggy, conflicting with other plugins. For example, when the Make.com plugin is enabled, and I try to change the configuration for another plugin, the site crashes. I disable the Make.com plugin, and I am able to then update another plugin’s configuration.

And I saw this error in my website’s error log today:

[30-Aug-2024 16:31:15 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20480 bytes) in /home/sitename/www/wp-content/plugins/integromat-connector/settings/object-types/class-post-meta.php on line 31

I’d love to see Make.com update this plugin, addressing the issues its got playing nice with other things on a website.

This outfit is among the worst of the worst. Their plugin is antiquated, full of bugs, and their support response to it all is to sell you something like an overpriced, buggier addon. Even after paying for one of their products, they will tell you that you have to buy a “lifetime” or “annual” service plan. When you ask for support they respond with an upsell to buy an addon. They should not even be allowed to use the name “wordpress”. Stay away from this company and their products. Very shady and unprofessional. One star is too many!

Broke my site and images, zero support

I tested (fortunately) this plugin in one of my smallest sites, in order to check how it worked and that I could uninstall it in the future if necessary.

Unfortunately, the process didn’t work out well, more than 500 images dissapeared and stopped working, and the owners of the plugin don’t offer any real solution that works. The only solution provided was to manually restore the images, which I did (using their export function), but some images are still lost and I don’t have any way to recover them easily.

The owners justify that the plugin works for most cases, stating that “Our plugin is designed to function efficiently across a wide range of environments, yet unforeseen interactions with specific configurations can occasionally result in issues like the ones you’ve experienced.”, which is a red flag for me, as this was just a small and simple test.

I would never trust something so important and sensible as the images of my websites to a plugin/company that does not take responsability if anything goes wrong.

This test gave so much work and I had to invest so much of time just to get back where I started, can definitely not recommend it.

Not for a vertical slider

If you are looking for a vertical slider to make in Elementor. Steer clear of this crap. After 3 hours of making the damn thing – only 5 slides with each getting its own Elementor Template – it worked for all of 5 minutes on the front end before all but 1 slide suddenly and inexplicably became blank slides.

No amount of cache clearing, recreating, regenerating files and data helped. Don’t waste your time with this crap.

It wouldn’t even save the restaurant details – every time I went back to that screen the fields were blank. Also would not let me set a closing time earlier than midnight. Just seems very buggy, and I’m not going to waste any more time trying to set it up.

I Bought this app Feb 6, 2024. It’s is now Feb 21, 2024. This app is a mess and hasn’t fulfilled a single task without issue

First of all, the main feature I purchased it for “Manually Add Subscriptions”, didn’t work. The option was simply missing from the plug in. I reached out to the support team, and it was no help. Here is what happened.

They asked me to contact them again in 3 hours (that was 9pm in my timezone). When I did, the asked me for my account’s WP User Name and password. I told them no, because it has information about my customers, and financials. I offered to screen share my computer, and to send them any error logs. They didn’t take me up on my offer. This was a very common occurrence, they consistently want me to stay up late for tech support, and demand information they shouldn’t be asking for
They had me send them the version number of the plug in, and woo commerce. which was fine, but then asked AGAIN for the WP log in information. This time they asked for my FTP credentials as well.
I sent them a video screen capture the problem, they couldn’t figure out how to open a video file… Seriously a Tech support team needed help opening a video file.
They released an update and asked me to download and install it. I did, and the button appeared. but now anytime I try and add a subscription, it causes critical error on the site.
I asked for a refund, and they said that they won’t give it to me because they want to log on to my site

I paid $100 for an app that hasn’t even don’t a single task properly. its been almost two weeks, and every time I reach out to support its “let us log into your admin area”, or “contact us again another time, we can’t help you now”

As mentioned above, there are other problems. The wording used within the app is very strange. I often have to read it a few times to understand what it is trying to communicate.

Integration is very poor also. Things like the “subscribe” buttons will appear randomly on the product page. Ideally it would go where the “buy now” Botton is, but often it will shift to the next line. Sometimes it will change dimensions for no reason.

Update: they wrote to me and acknowledged this review. They said that their developer said it’s working; then told me to go ahead and install the update. Had they read my past emails to them, or even this review they would know I did and it just caused more problems. I explained that in my response. They just asked me to install the latest update…

I have also asked for a refund quite a lot because it’s clear this plug in isn’t going to work. They are ignoring it

ASTRA totally buggy CSS/SVG background

Astra is totally buggy for me. In mobile view the SVG background does not work. Settings don’t stick and do whatever they want, stuff gets reset, color settings buggy. On mobile it just shows a white background. On desktop all works. Fonts are buggy too, they just flip and change when being set. Some work, some just change or do nothing when set. If that’s because of Google Fonts, you should consider changing the theme. Google Fonts are problematic regarding GDPR here in Germany.

If you provide feedback about a feature not working, despite paying for it, you suddenly lose all support and are not replied to again. Really bizarre way of handling things and quite rude. They also don’t read your emails properly and just reply the same thing over and over when they do respond. Odd bugs and weird support.
