unfortunately we have an issue with translating a string with Loco Translate on our Communities Page in our B.One (IoT) Community:
The englisch source string within the BuddyBoss Platform is “You’re %s”, what means in the frontend depending on the users role within a dedicated community/group e.g. “You’re an organisator” or “You’re a member”. The issue is, that when translating into German, in the frontend always is stated “Du bist a Mitglied” or “Du bist a Organisator”. So this “a” is too much in the german translation. Unfortunately I cannot attach a screenshot here.
What we use is:
– WordPress 5.9.1
– BuddyBoss Platform 1.9.0.1
– BuddyBoss Platform Pro 1.1.9.1
Can you help us here or is this a thing only BuddyBoss can help us with?
Thanks in advance!
]]>Is there a way to turn off voting activities altogether until this issue gets fixed?
Note: this was observed when using bbPress Voting along with BuddyBoss Platform, an active fork of BuddyPress+bbPress. Can anyone confirm whether the same problem arises on a native BuddyPress+bbPress setup?
]]>I’m sorry, turns out the plugin actually works with BuddyBoss Platform:
– The “vote up” and “vote down” links show up on the topics and replies
– The score is displayed
– A “Karma” tab shows up in the users’ “Forums” tab
But:
– I don’t see the list of avatars (votes log) on the topics or replies. Only the string “This topic has received <n> votes up.”
I was looking at the requirements, and the plugin lists the BuddyBoss Theme as a requirement.
I am wondering if this plugin will still work with BuddyBoss Platform (free version) along with another theme.
]]>It works as expected with bbPress, but with the BuddyBoss Platform forums too!
You just need to adjust your theme’s CSS rules for proper display in the preview tab, otherwise, everything works like I couldn’t dare to dream!
Thanks for this simple yet essential plugin.
]]>But the plugin is not compatible with BuddyBoss Platform (a BuddyPress fork by BuddyBoss). When activated with BuddyBoss Platform (BuddyX free theme), everything seems to work as expected in the back-end, but the plugins causes a critical error on group pages on the front-end.
Also, the member type functionality, which supports BP Member Types, is not compatible with member types as native to the BuddyBoss Platform.
Overall, I find this plugin is pretty useful and functional, but it doesn’t play along well with a BuddyBoss fork, BuddyBoss Platform.
I would have put 5 stars anyways if this plugin was not published by BuddyBoss themselves, the creators of the BuddyBoss Platform. Please make this work with your very own BP fork!
]]>BuddyPress Default Data will not function correctly because your site doesn’t meet some of the requirements:
Plugin “buddypress/bp-loader.php” version >=2.3 must be activated
