The last couple of posts I’ve done, the “featured image” has been replacing my header image. I checked all the settings multiple times and I do NOT have featured content replacement chosen. So I deleted the header image and reuploaded a fresh file. Now I have no header image at all.
I checked the code for #headerimg and nothing seems amiss.
Ideas?

How do I expand the colors from the navigation bar and image header over the white area on the left and right margins? Basically, we don’t want the white on the sides showing.
Thanks in advance and please let me know if you need anymore information.

Anyway it worked for me so it might be good enough for you so here is what you need to do (in Version 1.6.5 of the theme):
1, open theme-options.php
2, re-add ‘use-header-image’ option to the file see https://pastebin.com/AdbPs1LG line 83-89; line 418, line 439, line 467 and save the file
3, check theme options page and enable header image
4, enjoy

]]>I hope someone more knowledgeable than me can help me out…
I have created a child theme for my WP site (www.quisqueya.nl), based on the Brunelleschi theme I am using. However, when I activate the child theme, just about all formatting is lost. No header image, no background, nothing.
Following the Codex, I have inserted a style.css file in the child theme that goes as follows:
/*
Theme Name: Brunelleschi Child
Description: Brunelleschi Child Theme
Template: brunelleschi
Version: 1.0.0
Date: 1 October 2013
*/
/* =Imports styles from the parent theme
————————————————————– */
@import url(‘../brunelleschi/style.css’);
/* =Theme customization starts here
————————————————————– */
Do I perhaps need to copy or link some of the parent’s other .css files in the child theme as well?
Any help is very much appreciated… Thanks!
