How do I get WordPress Social Login to work with FB closed groups?

My site is primarily intended for members of a Facebook closed group to log into. I am hoping to use WordPress Social Login Bouncer and Filters by profile urls to permit only FB Closed group members to login.

My question is can WordPress Social Login be configured to allow only FB Closed group members to log into a website?
If so what might the FB profile URL be to point to group members. I have tried ‘https://www.facebook.com/FB_group_id’ in profile urls: but that does not work.
Would the Facebook Valid OAuth Redirect URIs require changing? it took me ages to get that working.

Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Customize Bouncer Messages

I have registration disabled right now and want to add some text to the bouncer message. Looking through the documentation I can see there is a pluggable function to render errors (https://github.com/miled/wordpress-social-login/search?q=wsl_render_error_page) and have seen where the errors are rendered in wsl.error.pages.php inside the notice-message div. How can I add code to the wsl.error.pages.php and maintain the ability to update the plugin in the future?

bouncer.pid keeps getting added

I see a bouncer.pid file being added on my home directory. If I delete it, it will reappear in a few days. I suspect this is some hacker?

WordPress Social Login plugin has an option to redirect user after they choose Social media signup by google or facebook (Bouncer tab) . Its suggested in support that we can use this “bouncer” to add additional hooks and get more user details from user.
I want to add phone number after social sign up in this Bouncer page. Has anyone done that?

Javascript conflict with WP SpamShield

Hi, when allowing on the bouncer tab the option of showing the extra fields at registration, when registering the user gets the following error:

JavaScript and Cookies are required in order to register. Please be sure JavaScript and Cookies are enabled in your browser, and reload the page.

And s/he is unable to complete the registration.

We are using SpamShield 1.9.7.7
As well latest version of BuddyPress and bbpress.

Error "Email address is already used" when connecting via Facebook with Bouncer

I have activated Bouncer for WSL. When I try to login to my website (multi tenant installation, might be important to mention it) with my Facebook account for the second time, I get the following error messages:

ERROR: Sorry, that email address is already used!

ERROR: Sorry, that username already exists!

and if I click “Continue”, the same messages appear. Then I can’t connect twice with the same Facebook account, nonsense!

Is there a parameter to activate or something?

Email confirmation not working

In Bouncer, for user moderation, I am not able to get email confirmation working at all, though admin approval does work. I have WSL and TML installed with the necessary fields set, but the email confirmation setting seems to do nothing. Once a user gets authenticated, they are automatically logged in.

I’m not even sure how it’s supposed to work. TML does email validation by sending the user their password via email, so they can’t login without a working email address. However, WSL doesn’t even use onsite passwords, so I’m not sure how it would plugin to TML’s functionality… perhaps it’s using some of TML’s functions with it’s own interface?

Anyway, any guidance would be appreciated.

Login stops working when I try to run a function after authenication

The login itself works great. I tried to add code after the login for users to cast votes. I tried adding

add_action(‘wp_login’, ‘my_function’);

to my functions.php file, but when I do that, I get the bouncer error that the user is already logged in when they haven’t.

my_function checks to see if the user is logged in and votes. It only allows users to vote once a day.

Usability problem: Pre-populated username is first and last name??

I’ve turned on the bouncer option to allow users to set their usernames but many of them are just blindly hitting the continue button.

The problem is that the default, pre-populated username is “John smith” (with the space!?)

No usernames on any up to date websites allow for spaces. Is there a way to pre-format the default username differently?

This is a real problem.

Twitter and Bouncer – Can't set username

Using Twitter and Bouncer set to allow username change:

Auth works fine and takes me to the page to create a username different from my default twitter username.

Returned to my site and logged in, but default twitter username appears.

Ideas?
