I tried installing WordPress from the guide on this site and was not able to do it. I then switched over to Bluhost and installed the account on that site. They said everything was installed successfully and I would have access to the admin panel once it was activated with WordPress. The problem is, I still can’t access the admin dashboard.

The domain for our associations website is www.wisconsinmusicteachers.com. I have already tried accessing the admin panel through the following:

Not able to log in to my www.remarpro.com admin page

Hi, I am very new to www.remarpro.com, and now that I have it up and running and try to log in to the eleven75.com/wp-admin page it asks for my username and password. I know my username, but my password isnt working.
I asked for a password reset e-mail to be sent, by typing i my username, and it says it has sent the e-mail, but I have not received it yet.
When I try and enter my e-mail address and get the reset e-mail that way, a error message pops up saying that they are unable to sned an e-mail and that it could possibly be that the e-mail setting is not enabled by my host??? I’m with bluhost.
Could someone please let me get my password/reset it somehow?

Taking over an existing HTML site, not sure how to proceed

Hi guys, please bear with me as I am new to this. I have agreed to update an existing old hardcoded web site on Bluehost. It is a simple site and I think the best thing is to redesign it and I’ve decided to use WordPress, but I’m new to this platform. So I have to figure out the best (easiest) way to set up my development environment so that I don’t screw up the existing web site until I’m ready to go live. I want to use the photos and the logo they already have, but that is about it. Should I install WordPress on my PC or use it on BlueHost and if I go the BlueHost route what is the best place to install WordPress and begin? THANK YOU SO MUCH!

404 Error Message and Site

Yesterday, I accidently changed the URL to my site, by editing the “my profile” section. Well, I lost my entire site, I managed to get (through my hosting site) into PHPmyadmin and change the website url back to what it was originally.

So all I currently get is the Home page, but then I get a 404: Error File Not Found (The page you are looking for might have been removed,
had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable) message when I try to to access my sliders that direct to different pages within my site as well as the navigation bar.

I’ve tried to create a new menu with test pages, and still nothing.

My theme is also “Sliding Doors” if that helps.
And I host through BlueHost

How the heck do I fix this. Help!

php support: fastcgi or apache module?

Hi,

I am setting up hosting for a multisite install (goal: about 1000 small sites) on a vps and I have the option of setting up “php support” as either an apache module or fastgci. Does experienced folks on here have a preference? What are the benefits of one over the other with WordPress?

I am not super savvy with all the ins and outs of hosting environments and issues. I tried searching on here, but didnt see anything one way or the other.
