“Include the last modification time” is silly when it’s applied to pages, because it will show a static time for dynamic content such as archives, blogrolls, and any custom scripts.

Could this be applied to posts only?

Gallery Extremely Buggy in 2.8.4

Is it just me or is the media library and gallery still getting significantly worse in every version?

New bugs after upgrade from 2.7:

By default, all images have BOTH the Medium and Full size radio options selected.

Uploading an image, then clicking Insert Into Post fails to attach the image to the post, so it will not show up in the gallery sections.

Gallery tab completely missing in the Add an Image dialog unless you go to the Media Library and Insert Into Post a second time for the same image.

I’m using custom url in my theme and have made my own template hiracical (i can’t spell it!).
So, in some situations I want to tell the wp that a 404 error happens, so use the 404.php to make the page. how to do that?

Log Files Show Status 500 Randomly

My server is showing HTTP Status: 500, at random intervals with no pattern than I can determine. There are no PHP or MySQL errors that I can find. But here’s where it gets weird: I can’t reproduce the error myself, and I don’t see this happening on my other domains in the same server.

Any ideas how to troubleshoot something like that?

I’m stuck. I can’t find this ul tag inside the php, you can see from the error it’s missing a qoute for the id.

Line 446, Column 47: an attribute value specification must be an attribute value literal unless SHORTTAG YES is specified

Hierarchical tags

Hello,

I’d like to use tags as hierarchies and I can’t find any plugin. I’m not even sure it is possible.

Reason for this (example):

Present:
- tag is CSS:font
- IRI is /?tag=CSSfont (should be CSS:font, but this is unsupported, pity)
Desired:
- tag is CSS:font
- IRI is /?tag=CSS and /?tag=CSS:font
Let’s call the first parent tag and the second child tag

The first page would display “parent and all children” (CSS, CSS:font, CSS:strategy, politics:France:MoDem…). caveat: no “parent only” or “all children but no parent” option so far, and I don’t need this. As you may have noticed, I’m using a controlled vocabulary.
The second page would display “this child only”.
Any ideas? Feedbacks welcomed!

Comment Permalinks Broken

When I upgraded my theme to use the new comment features, it started adding broken permalinks to all of the comments. See here for example:

All of the permalinks look like /slug/comment-page-/#comment-206

Is this a known bug in v2.7?

“Hold a comment in the queue if it contains 1 more more links.” This setting does not work. Comments with links are being posted without moderation.

“E-mail me whenever Anyone posts a comment.” This setting does not work. Comments are being posted without notice to the Admins.

Akismet is not in use, it is Inactive. I expect WordPress to work without the training wheels.

No Caption for Full Size Images

When inserting any image, if I choose Medium size it will show the caption in the editor. If I choose Full size it will set the alt text but the caption tags are completely missing.

I would like to always show the caption if I enter one. Is there a way to make it do that?
