Hello I like the idea of this plugin but I only want it to display on my blog page and my blog posts and nowhere else. Any such settings available?

My website has been updated to the latest wordpress also updated the latest woo commerce, disabled all plugins and done browser cachce but makes no difference.

the website will not diaplay any pages only the blog. www.hopegapdesigns.com
seems like a php issue some were. Also my home is just diplaying short codes now, it seems the update may broken a short code ??

any ideas, how I can fix this would appericated.

Multilangual site with blog only url problem

Hi everyone,

I use wordpress on my site only for blog because I don’t want to use it for all my website. So I installed wordpress on a subfolder called “blogue”. The url of my blog is www.mywebsite.com/blogue

I now want my website to be multilangual. I installed the polylang plugin to manage multilanguage. My problem is that I want the english version of my blog to be www.mywebsite.com/blog. I try different configuration in polylang settings and in wordpress settings but I am not able to have those two url. The only configuration that word for english give me a url like www.mywebsite.com/blogue/en

Do someone have a solution to solve my problem?

How to Properly Use Only Blog from Purchased Template

I have purchased a theme that I would like to only use the blog from.

Is it better practice to upload the purchased theme itself and remove all other pages except the blog or create a custom template (with my own desired headers and footers) and copy.paste the files and styles needed for the blog.

I need custom headers and footers, so should I create a new theme template or just go off of the purchased themes template.

Which is better practice?

I love the clean simplicity of the single pages, but when it comes to the blog, the single column is too wide for comfortable tracking.

Is there a way to add a sidebar just to the blog page?

I did download a “simple sidebar” widget (the only pluggin that’s been tested w/ the current WP version), but when it didn’t just work I figured I should back up and make sure there’s nothing else I need to know about the theme, first.

I have searched your forums and the plugin area and can’t find an answer for this one – maybe there isn’t one yet? As WordPress is being used more and more as a CMS for more static information sites (as opposed to strictly blogs), this would be a great feature to add – the ability to password protect/hide a whole blog, or certain category within a blog. In this case I have set up a password protected Members Only “Chorister News” area with a static page that has links into the blog. But the actual blog is still accessable via search engines and emailed links etc., so it’s not really protected unless the contributors password-protect the individual posts. It’s a superficial fix, for now. Is there a way to protect the blog area without hiding the whole site from the public – the static pages should be public access.
