is there any chance to modify the featured blogpost image to have it as big as the following pictures below? The image is to big if you are using portrait mode pictures I do.
Could you please help me with the css?
Just do modify the picture like max-width: 50%; does not help, cause its not inline with the gallery pictures below. They are aligned with the layout of the blog itself.

Thank you very much

]]>There is a problem doing this, that can be easily fixed.
No-one will know the theme uses a featured image for its header background image, so the average user will not see or realize this right off the start, since there is no documentation to state this.
Most featured images are sort-of square and are not at the correct width and height to use as a background image for a full width header of a page or blog page.
This image size issue is what causes the featured image to end up mostly misaligned, per the image content, where most of the image content ends up as cut off or off page (hidden).
In short, this issue makes use of featured images useless for the average WordPress user.
Question
To allow the image content to show correctly as a header background image, what is the best size for a featured image we can use for the theme to properly show it as its header background image?
Thanks.
Suggestion
Please create documentation that states the best image size for Featured images since it will be placed as a background image in the page or blog page header (top area).
I hope you are well. You were so helpful with me in the past, I’m wondering if you can help me out with two other issues. No pressure at all of course.
I know it would be best to start a new thread for these, but am unsure how I can notify you of them.
Here is the site I’m working on: https://myoga.com/
The first issue I’m having is that I want to have a line break under the footer (social media icons and copywrite) as I do on the homepage, however even though I have added this line break to the footer.php, it is not appearing on the interior pages. I am using the same page template for all of them, so I think it must be something that changes when I designate a certain page as the main landing (home) page.
The other issue is that on this page: https://myoga.com/blog where I have the latest blog entries listed on the left using the short code, I would like for thumbnails of the featured images to come up with the posts.
Lastly, on each blog post page I would like the blog title to be listed above that blog’s featured image, and I would love to have the ability to change the size and orientation of the featured image (although I recognize that this is a bit more challenging, and not a big deal if I can’t for now).
Thank you so much for any help you can offer me.
Brittany
I am working on this page of a client’s website: https://myoga.com/blog/
I am using the Twenty Twelve theme.
I would like to have the featured pic thumbnail appear to the left of the blurb about the blog entry. Can you help me make this happen?
Also, do you know if there is a shortcode to display blog archives? I’m thinking I would like to add this to the sidebar at some point.
Thank you so much for your help!
Brittany
Never mind… I figured it out! I set the image size to 530×240 and it works. Thanks anyway.
