When I try to permanently block hacker IP addresses and click SAVE, nothing happens and upon refreshing page, those IP addresses are not blocked.

Reason to be alarmed ?

I receive regulary report from my Wordfence-plugin about
“Top 10 IPs blocked”.

Some times the first 1 or 2 lines (IPs) indicate several hundred that are blocked.
The blocking periode is set to 1 month.

Is there a real reason to be concerned about this (to me) high number ?

Unsure why, but i need assistance in it keeps blocking Odd things.
First it blocked someone searching for the word VEGA
then it blocked someone whom i can confirm is now on a certain IP blacklist thanks to being marked as spam on here. – yet i cant ascertain why it was marked as spam in teh first place. – i believe this also happened after the user was able to get in sign up then it started blocking them from using the sites functions.

Blocking IPs accessing not existing pages

Hi there, I keep getting messages from iTheme Security telling me that a user has been blocked because they were accessing none existing pages. How can I see what page were they trying to access?

blocking – button ‘make permanent’ does not seem to work

Maybe I oversee something, but after blocking many malicious IP’s, I used to go to ‘blocking’ and make this blocking permanent. But today I noticed that the blockage only will be for about half an hour! When I hit the button ‘make permanent’, nothing happens. The expiration still stays the same. What do I miss…?

Hi,

I’ve been receiving DOZENS of emails a day from Sucuri with failed login attempts to my website GeekyExplorer.com.

The IP is always the same, which makes me think is a brute force attack.

However I’ve tried to block the IP everywhere (htcacess file, Sucuri setting, hosting provider) and I’m STILL getting the same emails.

What can I do to stop this?

Blocking users?

There is an option to manage/add blocked users – attemps who use to use same login trying to get into site. However I am not able to add any blocked users – I only see empty table of blocked users (as none have been added) and then there is a button “Unblock User” – but I cannot find the option where to add such one.

Huge Spam Problem! Don't know what to do?? (HELP)

Recently I’ve been getting a huge amount of hits from this spam IP address within the US. I thought I could block it with ht.access but they are all slightly different and I don’t want to block all IP’s from the US…
Akimast only deals with comment spam…what do I do with this sort of spam?

It’s eventually going to burn out my servers as I’m getting waaay to many hits every minute and I’m clueless…

can someone pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease help me?
