blank white screen in ‘editor mode’

for the past several weeks, i’ve been unable to access ‘editor mode’ for some of my longer posts (meaning lots of ‘text’ without any other media).

here is an example of the white screen when attempting to edit entry ‘sketches database’ ->

from the WP site, if i click ‘edit mode’ on top toolbar, i get blank white screen (since my default editor is set to blocks).

i also have the ‘classic editor’ plug-in installed. i am able to enter ‘edit mode’ if i go to my dashboard and select ‘edit’ from the ‘posts list’. however, if i try switching to ‘block mode’ from there, i get the same ‘blank white screen’

before this, my theme had been ‘MP MusicMag’.i tried disabling all plug-ins and reverting to default theme with help of ‘bluehost support’. cleared cache in google chrome. tried to access site from safari. still getting ‘blank white screen’ when trying to access my largest posts.

i log into my WP dashboard via bluehost. i usually have several chrome tabs open for different entries when i’m working. a few times d day i am automatically logged out with ‘session has expired’ and so i go to bluehost and log back in. but now i occasionally the log-in screen comes up sporadically asking me to log into wordpress. and from there, i’m not sure what username / password to use. i believe i can get in with my email address and password most of the time, but sometimes only ‘admin’ qs username works. i ran ‘site health’ + ‘wp health’ and the only problem i found was a warning not to have an administrator with title ‘admin’ because it was a security risk. so if i ever get logged out, i just close all the tabs, clear caches, close + open chrome browser, and log in again via ‘bluehost’. that usually works fine, but lately i’ve noticed that sometimes just going to another tab that has one of my entries open while i was logged out seems to log me out wuhenever i click into that tab. starting yesterday, i also noticed that the same thing happened when i try to access a page on my WP site via the bookmark. it would take me to the URL but i would be logged out again. only way i could circumvent this would be to click into the entry from home page to there (which could take 6 or 7 steps and i made the bokmarks so i dont have to remember exact pathways). so as of right now, i would have to replace all the bookmark URLs with ones taken from my updated sight.

for example, i have a chrome bookmark to my WP site:

but if i follow the menus from my WP page, it gives me…

(and the secure link doesn’t log me out)

(now, i created all those bookmarks AFTER i upgraded th HTTPS so the bookmarks must have been changed somehow.

when i log into my WP dashboard, i get the prompts about ‘activating SSL’ and reconnecting jetpack, 2 things i did a long time ago.

that in itself isnt a problem, i’ll just replace the bookmarks with updated links.

for a few weeks i have just worked around the blank white screen for large posts. i could still see the actual post texts from my site, and i can cut/paste as needed. when i went to bluehost support to fix the problem, they downgraded my WP to ‘v 4.9’ (pre-gutenberg). this ‘worked’ (as in i could now access edit mode for the large posts). but it made the site a mess since ive been workinng for the past few months with blocks. all the center alignments went to left align along with other problems.

went back to bluehost supprt and they did more incremental downgrade. if it was v5.3.2 i was using, they took it down to 5.2 (still didnt fix blank white screen), and then to 5.1 (fixed the white screen issue). so i thought that was the end of it.

now i wake up to find that again i can’t access edit mode for the large posts. so i checked at bottom right and found that i was running v5.3.2 again. i’m assuing the bluehost support changed it back. so again just stuck with the ‘blank white screen’.

any suggestions on how to proceed? thanks!

Add New Notification Shows Blank White Screen

We just installed the plugin. When we try to add a new Notification, we get a blank white screen.

We have WordPress 5.1.1. Maybe it is not compatible?

after upgrade to 4.9.2 my site is gone – just a white screen

I just did the upgrade and now all I see when I go to site is a white page. The tab is correct and still shows site logo.
Note that I also updated plugins at same time. Simple Calendar plugin required me to update to PHP5, which I did.
I can still reach my admin page, but haven’t signed out because I’m afraid I won’t be able to get back in. I need my site back. Any ideas?

Latest update broke the dashboard

After the latest update (1.5.5) my WordPress dashboard did not load, it was just a blank white page.

I found out a workaround which suggested that if I would rename plugin folders via FTP, I could spot a plugin that was responsible. After renaming mailgun folder I can now access my dashboard.

For the past month, I have been adding events to our team’s website per the request of the owner. She had someone else build it over a year and a half ago and it’s been in non-use for a while. I am not sure what version it was on, but tonight I decided it was way past time to update to the latest wordpress version. I thought it was automatic, one touch and done. However, now all I am seeing is white page. No admin page, no dashboard, just blank white. Same when I try to go to website from outside using laptop.

I can access the home page using my mobile devices (cell and tablet), but when I click on other pages, they come up blank white also.

Help!!! Is there an easy fix to go back to old version? I have none of the original files, nor did I do a back up.

Blank Screen After Member Account Deleted

Hello
I am trying out my website that I’m starting by joining as a member by using a different email to my admin one. I have Buddypress installed. I have chosen that members can delete their own account. When I logged in as a member, and deleted my account, my website went to a blank, white screen. I phoned my hosting company and they told me to clear my browsing history and this restored my website to my screen, but then they opened a test member account and then deleted it, and the same thing happened to them, blank, white screen and they had to clear their browsing history.
I want members to be able to delete their own accounts, but I don’t want them to have this kind of problem.
Why is it happening and what can I do to resolve it?

Blank Page Appears on Certain Pages Once HTTPS Plugin Activated

Hi,
Excellent plugin, and thanks again for making it available.

The HTTPS plugin has been working fine for me until today. I think there may be an incompatibility with iThemes – a plugin which I use for other security purposes, but not for SSL. As of today, when I have HTTPS activated while iThemes is also activated, I’m see a blank white space on some of my WordPress pages (just under the main horizontal navigation menu).

As my site’s live, I’ve had to disable the HTTPS plugin for now as I still need to display the text as you see it on pages like (https://tradablepatterns.com/watchlist/ or https://tradablepatterns.com/membership/).

I didn’t change any SSL-related configuration settings within HTTPS plugin or within my iThemes and S2Member plugins.

For now, I’ve deactivated HTTPS plugin and configured iThemes to enforce SSL across my entire site.

Looking forward to hearing back.

Site Loads Fine, Blank Admin Dashboard Page

I am unable to make edits to https://www.twinrivershorseshow.com because the admin page is blank. The site loads perfectly, just no admin abilities. I have tried to fix this by logging into my ftp client and changing the name of my plugins folder temporarily, but this did not help. I have also tried to do this with the installed theme thinking that it would default to the standard theme and that did not help either. What else can be done to fix this?

This site is an annual event, so it has been about 10 months since I changed anything on it.

White screen after 3.9.1 update but can get into Admin

I visited a client’s site today, and got a blank white screen. I was able to log in to the dashboard.

1. I backed up and upgraded all plugins. Still a white screen.

2. I disabled all plugins and changed theme to default. Still got a white screen.

3. I changed plugins folder name to be sure all plugins were disabled.

4. I tried adding a line to the config file at the end:
define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’,’200m’);

Still website is blank white but still can get into admin/dashboard.

Any ideas. Thanks for your help!
