Nice plugin. All works well but I get a blank line on sitemap.xml for each excluded post or page. More spcifically several lines of:
<loc/>

When I open the page up in editor there’s no blank lines above the inserted video.
Whilst I’ll probably make further changes I wondered what might be causing this?
Thanks
This has always been a little tricky, as the previous WordPress text editor had a tendency to remove them — but with Gutenberg this got quite difficult. It seems the editor (or something) really has an aversion to them!
The solution suggested here doesn’t actually work — pressing Shift-Enter (or Shift-Return) does insert a blank line temporarily, but the editor or the display engine removes it, so it doesn’t show up in the published post.
I have gotten this to work by pressing Shift-Enter and then entering a single space on each blank line, but this is a little awkward. (In code view, these lines appear as
line breaks.)
Is there a more intuitive way to insert blank lines into copy in Gutenberg?
One key requirement is that I’d like a solution that works for the other, non-technical editors of the site.
Thank you!
The CMB2 is breaking my Feed RSS adding blank lines.
When I deactivate the CMB2, the Feed RSS works fine.
How can I fix this?
I put in custom spacing lines in my HTML text. Your app adds lines in places, and takes out lines in places. I like your app for the syntax color coding, but I cannot, and will not, use it if you alter my content.
The thing about the “Raw HTML” is that I use it to keep WordPress for messing with my code. Your app is doing the same nanny thing.
The changes happens when I toggle between text and visual. If I Publish before the toggle, toggle to Visual, then reload I’m back to where I was. Still, I don’t want to continually be publishing while I’m working on stuff.
Maybe you can add preference settings to let people disable these kind of things.
When using the plugin, any pages I use it on end up having blank entries in the HTML site map.
The pages still exist in the HTML of the sitemap page as links, but have no anchor text so there is just a blank line for those pages.
Any ideas on how to deal with that?
Thanks for a good plugin.
