I have a little issue that I tried to sort out but I wasn’t able.
I was asked to install BBPress on a website and I also installed the following BBPress plugins (check the bottom of the post).
I am facing this problem:
– visiting the site on my laptop or desktop pc –> I can only see the tabs “Visual” and “Text” but cannot see the buttons to edit the text;
– visiting the site on my smartphone –> it works fine (can see everything).
Maybe this malfunctioning is due to a conflict between plugins?
Do you have any suggestion?
I installed both WP Edit and TinyMCE Advanced (not Pro version).
Thank you all for your disposability (at least to read the post)
Have a nice day
Vincenzo

If a bibliography has been created/built on another WordPress website, what is the method that should be used to move/integrate on the final site where the Bibliography will reside?
Does the plugin work well with cache plugins or with CDNs (Content Delivery Networks?
Any known conflicts with a website using the bbPress (BuddyPress) plugin?
Any known conflicts with a WordPress website using Thesis Theme (1.8.5)?
Is there a capacity limit to the number of entries in the bibliography?
Thanks in advance for your replies and feedback!

I am looking for a way re-order “Topics” in the BBPress Plugin. I am trying to create a training course and need to have the topics organized and stay organized in a certain order so my students do not get confused. I have spent three days trying a lot of different plugins that claim they can get the job done, however no such luck. I have all so searched all over the web and can not find a solution. If some one has a good idea for me to try I would love to hear it. When trying all the plugins, I have already tried all the regular trouble shooting tips. (i.e. deactivated all plugins, switched to 2011 theme, used another WP site to test) There are a lot of people out there that are looking for the the same answer.
Thank you in advance for any assistance…
First of all, I don’t know if this is the right place to post this… but, I was wondering… I have the BBPress Plugin installed on my WordPress Multisite.
I have an entire sub-folder site for my forum. But, I want the forum to be my home page, and I wouldn’t mind having signatures.
I was wondering… is BBPress still being updated and worked on? or is it put on the back table, and replaced with the WordPress Plugin for BBPress?
If it is still being worked on, what are the Pro’s and Cons over BBRess and BBPress Plugin?
Thanks for helping, and sorry if I mis-categorized this =/
On a side note, I was able to set up a bbpress plugin Forum on another theme (Awake)but I cant seem to make it work with Thesis.
What I see is the Thesis Blog but not the forum.
Please help! Thanks
So far I’ve gotten the user avatar plugin to allow uploads of plugins from the backend (but not front end).
I also managed to get the Cimy User Extra Fields Plugin to allow me to add “title” and “credential” fields to the profile and registration pages (and hide what I want to stay hidden. However, this does not translate over to my bbPress plugin.
I found that the bbpress template page: form-user-edit.php is the page that contains the front-end user profile edit form. The extra fields I have set up through Cimy do not show up here and I haven’t managed to figure out how to get it so they do. I can put the form elements in, but not sure how to hook them to the correct functions/fields.
The first name field looks like this:
<?php _e( 'First Name', 'bbpress' ) ?>
<input type="text" name="first_name" id="first_name" value="<?php echo esc_attr( bbp_get_displayed_user_field( 'first_name' ) ); ?>" class="regular-text" />
I tried copying this over as:
<?php _e( 'Title', 'bbpress' ) ?>
<input type="text" name="title" id="title" value="<?php echo esc_attr( bbp_get_displayed_user_field( 'title' ) ); ?>" class="regular-text" />
But as you can imagine, since the fields are not in bbpress, nothing happened. I’m not sure what to change to get it to display/edit my extra fields.

I’m not sure why it’s so difficult to customize the profile page, or why the bbpress plugin doesn’t populate fields based on the wp users. Any help people can give me would be great though.
If there’s an easier way to be doing this, that would be even better.
Thanks
However, when submitting a topic nothing happens, it just sort of bounces/reloads the page but certainly doesn’t create/post the topic.
Thanks, Bryan
Here is steps
1. Download source: https://trac.bbpress.org/browser/branches/plugin
2. Upload and activate plugin
3. Set up Forum
4. Ensure to save permalinks under Admin->Settings
5. Enjoy!
It is working as I expected.
bbpress’s own plugin is not supported yet though.
But I am pleased with this.
If you have an interest to add forums to wordpress site, try this and feedback to bbpress development team.
Thanks,
