Hi,

I could be exceedingly stupid, but being new to this product and WordPress, I just might need a nudge in the right direction.

I can’t see any tutorials / documenation for Gedshow. I know I need to use the right shortcode, but where? in a new post? page?

Any pointers you can give would be greatly appreciated – this looks like a good fit for what I am trying to do.

Hi, I have looked through the newsletter themes but they appear to do everything BUT what I need to do — which is, simply, create a newsletter of the latest post (or the week’s latest posts), including the post image.

The Help info is excellent but seems to take me in many other directions. I would appreciate a steer for this basic creative task! Thanks in anticipation…

Hello,

First, my apologies for not being able to figure this out on my own. I have tried! I’m sure it’s quite basic but I’m not very tech savvy.

1) How do I create a page with book images on it like in the demo? I’d like it to go here: https://saildogbark.com/books-we-read/ I see how to embed a single review, but that’s not what I want.

2) I’ve created several book reviews but don’t know how to post them. They don’t seem accessible. I finally hit publish–and it showed up as a regular blog post, which isn’t what I want.Then, when I installed the sidebar widget of Recent Book Reviews it went away. I’d like to post book reviews on a separate page from my blog (see above).

Any help you can offer would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hello,
I’m using Sela on my website and I want to make some changes to the primary menu. For example, I have a page for ‘About Me’ and a separate page for ‘Contact’. Is it possible to add the Contact Page as a drop-down option under ‘About Me’ in the menu? How do I do it? Also, if I add a category such as Travel to the Menu, how do I make sure that all the blog posts to do with this category appear when someone clicks?

Category Page Help

Hi,

I’ve been fighting with this plugin for days now and I’m crying Uncle! I’m hoping one of you fantastic people can help me real quick.

For some reason, the pictures disappeared from my category page? I’ve played around with all sorts of settings in the settings>store>presentation and I just can’t seem to find the right combination. Any advice on how to resolve?

question on download / upload

I need basic starter help.

basic info:
a.) I have a godaddy web host account, there is a very basic website there already
b.) I read the word press Installing WordPress page, still have questions (not familiar enough with the computer lingo)

to download and use word press, do I:
1.) download wordpress to my computer then unzip (done)
2.) upload unzipped files to godaddy account (not sure on this one)
3.) run / install it (most help needed here)

I don’t know whether I’m just slow or what, but I can’t figure out how to use this plugin.

The only things I can see that I can change are the colour settings (when I click on “Settings” right under the plugin name on the Plugins page).

Where do I enter the BIO wording and social buttons?

I’m new to WordPress and experienced in web design.
The overall concept of how WP works is escaping me.
I have activated the theme swift because it sounds very capable.
but… how do I make it work? type in headlines and stories? add photos? I just need to know the overall basic concept of how everything works together and I’ll be able to take it from there… how do I get to my templates? use template tags?
