Not good for SEO

I installed this plugin on my Divi site and created pages that would display the items in my shop. Unfortunately every color and size option was treated with unique URL that was indexed on Google. I had about 1500 pages indexed for Google index that was harming my site’s SEO because they were really unnecessary “zombie pages”. I couldn’t control creation of these URLs with the plugin any way. Took me 3 months to discover and have them deleted on Google index. Phew!

I was very enthusiastic when I started out with this theme. After posting a few articles though I ran into SEO issues. Which made it necessary to take the nice things down, like the slider. The ALT-text does not appear with these featured images. Also these images are enormous at the top of the post.
I contacted support twice. They did not even reply. Sure I use the free version, but being completely ignored will never make me a paying customer.
I’m switching to another theme.

One Size does NOT fit all

Since it’s about the ONLY plugin addressing the need for an Alt Plugin – with all of these WYSIWYG builder editors – I guess it’s alright – but in the world of proper SEO a “one size fits all” ALT Tag for every image on the page – isn’t an optimal situation.

The author writes a lot about the subject of the why’s and whatnots of the purpose of the alt tag and its relevant importance but seems to ignore the fact that every image should have a meaningful description or none at all.

Didn’t work for me…

Perhaps they will address it and give this plugin more ability and then it could be worth a second look imho.

Horrible! The Worst Plugin, Ever

I used Yoast Premium plugin on my site for a year and it almost destroyed my site! The search console is completely useless and continually listed thousands of errors that didn’t even exist when I went and checked with Google!
Plus the keyword, green light indicator, is so “not helpful’ and badly configured for SEO, it’s a joke. If someone new to SEO followed the green light and hit publish when it lite up they would never get anything to rank.
It seems that Yoast advertises so many “features” BUT most of them are actually completely unnecessary and only add confusion and bloatware.
Plus, their customer service is one of the worst I’ve ever come across. You can only reach them via email which on many occasions took them over a week to even acknowledge.
I have no idea why so many people rave about this falsely overrated, crappy plugin. Do yourself a favour and use almost any other SEO plugin, you’ll be better off.

Absurd ngg_tag url in search results

My client, a local restaurant, reported to me that his site gets a strange resuts when being googled:
***.com/ngg_tag/mountains/

Which is completely absurd as there’s no single image inside NGG Gallery that would include mountains, or any tag whatsoever.

I’ve disabled (noindex) all ngg related elements via Yoast SEO but find it impossible to remove that url from search results.

Any help appreciated.

Very troubled by missing H1 tag for titles- Bad for SEO

Everything I know about SEO requires using an H1 tag for page and post titles. Far too late into the process, I have discovered that Hemingway does NOT fit that convention. Very troubling. This is basic SEO. Is there any way to bring that “up to code” without major surgery as I am not using a Child theme and to monkey with the php would be dangerous.

I have a really bad problem with my alt tags of the images in modular pages – https://goo.gl/IzFXQj it seems that the theme inserts tags of images like alt=”” and thats it, I modified the code to look like this:

$content .= 'bgimage . '" alt="' . $module->bgimage . '" />';

now alt tag is my full adress and name of the image, is there a way to get the alt tag of an image from wordpress with the full adress of it? or is there a way around that?

Tried this plugin, was not pleased to see all my alt tags from images were replaced by code from this plugin, that is a horrible practice coming to SEO, any ideas? Really isn’t worth it if it’s gonna render all images unindexable from search engines.
