Absolutely useless plugin. Do not use unless you’d like to become a back end developer.
Install something else.

The plugin is OK but the fact that it has no option to back up everything in one go is annoying.
Sure, you can get the core files from a fresh install, but if you have to roll back to an older version of WP because a plugin breaks on the new version, you must have all files archived because the “fresh” version won’t do in that case.

I am using the free version of BackWPup and love it. One thing I notice however, is that when I use the external link method of executing the backup, I get no feedback that the update is complete or if there are any errors. (ex:
https://somedomain.com/wp-cron.php?_nonce=d72235ab&backwpup_run=runext&jobid=1)

Is there some sort of feedback I should be getting besides a blank page, or is this something that is only offered in the Pro version?

It would be extremely helpful to know that the backups have been done properly and saved in the proper location using the external link.

BackupWp Nginx Problem

Hi.
I migrate all my sites in nginx server.
I delete all plugin and reinstall them.
But I cannot run a job at all.
I get a message “Not expected HTTP response body: 404 Not Found 404 Not Found nginx/1.6.2”

I have enabled permalinks in ngingx configuration and everything seems to work fine except the backupwp plugin.
Any ideas?

Host is reading backupwp as malware and shut me down

My host has shut down my website and partly bc it says there is malware attached to the backup wp 3.1.4 plug in I installed earlier this week. Any way to know if it is truly infected or if they may be reading something incorrectly?

Failure to backup

While trying to run a backup manually, I’m getting the following error message:

Cannot create folder: /mnt/vhosts/affiliateprogram101.com/httpdocs/wp-content/uploads/backwpup-19ae01-logs

When I FTP into the site, I see that the folder specified is already there, though it hasn’t been updated since I first installed the plugin and ran the first backup on 7/6/14.

What could be the issue?

Hi.

I have a problem whit backupwp, when i try to make a backup the file size is “only” 23 KB.

I’am runinng multisite installation and will like to backup all of the sites in one targz file, on my server.

When i’am looking at my job setup, under the tap “files” all is set to standard. I will like to make the plugin back my uploads and themes and some more up. But nothing is being backed up ?

Hope someone can help me.
