I found this plugin absolutely perfect to take WP Backup. But not recommend this for site admins.
This plugin is best for developer purposes who sometimes don’t have cPanel or FTP Access to take backup. However, there are other plugins that can also help you to take backup like “All-in-One WP Migration” but these are suitable for site admin not to the developer.

I’ve been using this updraft backup plugin for along time now, so I figured I’d take a second to give my review. It’s saved me countless times. I like to get into the backend code and a lot of times I break my site. I’m always happy to know that updraft is there with several backups, so I don’t stress anymore. It backs up my site without me having to remember to do anything. Perfect simple plugin that works flawlessly. Thanks very much to the Dev’s you guys done a great job!

First, I messed up my website when I updated WordPress so I uploaded a new WordPress and reinstall the plugin in order to use the restore option at first it failed, I got the error message reading… “errors found during restore” I tried a number of times but kept getting the same error so I followed the support forum and figured it was the DB Prefix which had changed when I reinstalled WordPress, I changed this to match the old DB Prefix and I was able to restore all my website files.

This is an awesome plugin and very useful. I recommend it to anyone looking for a site migration, backup/restore solution.

Reinstalled xampp but can’t get my site back

Hi guys, here’s my issue. I had Xampp as local server and it stopped working recently so I decided to save the whole xampp folder (with the htdocs) and reinstall it but when I copy my former site folder in the new htdocs, it doesn’t work. I can’t have access to wp and the site.

Did i mess and didn’t back up properly ? Again, I have the whole former xammpp folder with both the sever and wp data, so please tell me there’s a way to fix it…
