Can’t print backup codes

Hi.

I cannot print the backup codes generated. When clicking the “Print” button, it seems like a window or overlay is opening; but it gets closed immediately.

Windows 7 64-Bit Home Premium SP1
Opera browser Version: 90.0.4480.84

My mobile phone died and I had to get a replacement. It had the Google Authenticator App with access to my self-hosted WordPress Sites. So I cannot generate the correct code to login. I think I did save backup codes to file but I have no idea what the filename of the codes would have been. Does anybody know what the filename would be and if not how to disable the 2FA plugin ?

Delete Backup-Codes

Does anyone know, where the backup-codes are placed? I would like to delete them. I did register now with 2 U2F-devices and therefore do not need an extra backup in case I would loose one U2F-device.

I suppose they are safed in the database and will only expire if they have been used, right?

Would be great if someone could help me.

One thing is that I don’t really know how one should login if for any reason the phone is missing or GA doesn’t work? The only solution would be removing the app?

And once I deactivated the plugin and it still would show the GA field.

Unable to Log-In After Google Authenticator was Deleted

Hello,

I unintentionally lost access to my WordPress account after deleting Google Authenticator and switching cell phones. I thought that my account was also linked to my phone number as a backup means of verification via SMS, but apparently that did not happen.

I would really, appreciate any help you could give me, and I will be absolutely sure to create back-up codes the next time I do this.
