The problem is that when the user types any number in this field, they can’t delete it using the backspace key (both on mobile and desktop).
The only way to delete it is to select the value and use the “delete” key (which doesn’t exist on mobile so you can see the size of the problem).
How can I solve this, please?

P.S this happens with themes ive made, the default themes, other people’s themes etc.
Anyone know why and if I can fix it?
I am facing an extremely annoying problem in using my wordpress driven blog. I am using the WP 2. 9 version (i.e. second last version) on my blog. The problem is that whenever I post something on this blog, the post automatically gets changed and some unintended characters comes on their own.
For example :
On writing any word in double quotes like : “India”
the resultant text becomes : \”\’India\”
And
If I post a link like this :
Youtube
Then the resultant output which is coming is :
<a href="\" target="\"_blank\"">Youtube
I am at loss to understand the reason for this problem. I have tried changing the themes but to no avail.
Please help me.
This is made doubly difficult by the fact that single carriage returns look like double spaces while I am typing, but then once I publish and return to the blog, double spaces often disappear or look like half spaces. Is there any way to make the rich text editor fall more closely in line with what my posts look like? For now it’s an awful lot of guess work, and feels very buggy.
for reference, my blog is https://www.beninbrooklyn.com/
Thanks!
