I would like to be able to change the background image on a per-page basis, or eliminate it completely in some instances. For example, I’d like to use a different image here: https://microburst.news/staging/donate/
It looks like the line of CSS responsible for setting the background is:
element.style {
background-image: url(https://microburst.news/staging/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/saguaro-hero-image.jpg);
background-size: cover;
}
It seems like it should be a simple matter to just override this CSS on a per-page basis with a different file name, or set the background to none. But I don’t see how I can do that.
]]>I’m seeing an issue with certain (but not all?) Post Grid 2 background images appearing broken as is observable on this page.
The image is used within the post content too and appears correctly (when using the default display size of “Large”.
The problem appears to lie with the generated size of PostX Layout Landscape (870×570) for some posts (but not all posts?)
For instance, this blog page is the exact same layout as this blog page. Both use the ‘PostX Layout Landscape (870×570)’ image size for background images – yet the second page cannot find the image size and displays as broken.
Thank you for your attention.
]]>I have a Polylang plugin – last version 3.5.4. I’ve noticed that all background images on mobile (not on desktop) diseappered from all pages.
Rather it is Polylang case, as I have only few other plugins: spectra, cookie yes, starter templates and yoast seo.
I’ve just fixed it manually by adding those images again, but I’m wondering why it happend and how can I prevent it?
Thanks in advance for help,
Monika
]]>I am using Prime Slider ‘Mount’ and the biggest flaw in this slider (and all other ones) are the image settings. There is no control over how the image should be displayed e.g. cover, contain, positioning, etc. for each individual slide. Adding a global option (Background Image Settings) is virtually useless because each image will have a different focal point (see attached screenshot).
You guys should be using the following for the images: https://developers.elementor.com/docs/editor-controls/group-control-background/ and not https://developers.elementor.com/docs/editor-controls/control-media/
Can this obvious flaw be rectified please?
Thank you
Does this plugin also work for elementor column background images?
Right now it works for other images, but not for those.
I have excluded the Optimize More js from litespeed cache, so I don’t think that’s the issue.
Best regards,
Florian
]]>Is it possible to disable lazy loading on above the fold background images which are loaded via CSS in Elementor?
Currently with lazy loaded background images turned on my hero image doesn’t appear until the cursor is moved which is affecting speed scores.
I have tried the exclusions settings but I’m assuming these only work with inline images as well as the excluded first three images setting?
]]>The issue is: URLs for background images do not update with the Elementor URL replacer or with third party plugins like better search and replace. This affects all instances where images are applied as background images.
These steps have routinely failed:
– Update URL
– Run Better Search and Replace to Replace URL
– Run Elementor URL Updater to Replace URL
– Regenerate Data
– Clear all caches
– Problem Remains
– Only fix seems to be manually reconnecting every image used as a background image
I would like to lazy load elementor section background images, but it doesn’t seem to work. They are loaded with external (not inline) css for a div like this: background-image: url(“…”);
Is there any way to make this work? It would be very much appreciated.
Best regards and thanks for the great work,
Florian
