But there are definitely some things that are lacking–and I may need to switch back to ConvertKit within the next year unless this functionality is improved.
When using autoresponders, most email providers now use different ‘rules’ which allow people to be pushed into new automations, tagged, and different things to happen when they click on a particular link. For example, if they receive the third email from your autoresponder and click on a link that tells you they likely already have that product, they would be switched into a new autoresponder to guide them through the sales process for the next product.
This was simple and easy with ConvertKit. But with this plugin, that functionality is not there at all. The only way you can retarget people who have clicked or not clicked is to go back in and manually send another email to them. Something that’s just not going to happen given I build my list with a free opt-in and want to guide them through the autoresponder automatically.
It’s a shame, because I can definitely see the potential of this plug-in. And if the functionality is upgraded within the next six to twelve months I will stay with it. But my newsletter is growing quickly, and I need my email to do the heavy lifting.

A “Prevent Autoresponders? Yes, prevent creation of autoresponders” checkbox in the import page (same as in the “add new subscriber page”) would be extremely useful. Could you add it?
