WP Is Stuck On Failed Upgrade Error Message

I tried to upgrade from 2.7.1 to 2.9.1. I installed the Automatic Upgrade Plugin and proceeded with the upgrade. Everything was going smoothly until this message popped up..
You cannot upgrade because WordPress 2.9.2 requires MySQL version 4.1.2 or higher. You are running version 4.0.27.
This message is locked on the screen with no options to return to WP. I left the screen and attempted to log back into my WP account and receive the same message above. How do I clear this and make the site available for me to log into again?

I have uploaded the Automatic Upgrade plugin, but when I click to activate it, I get the following error message.

Parse error: parse error, unexpected $, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or ‘}’ in /wp-content/plugins/wordpress-automatic-upgrade/lib/snoopy.class.php on line 44

I’m getting this error message.

Does anyone know what it means/how to fix?

Media uploader no longer lets me choose files

Since upgrading to 2.7, the flash media uploader window comes up, but the box that lets me select which files to upload is missing. Screen shot here.Haven’t seen this exact problem described in any other thread. Am using FF3, WinXP. I haven’t upgraded to Adobe Flash 10. Any ideas?

I have uploaded the wordpress-automatic-upgrade folder to the /wp-content/plugins/directory, but there is not the plugin in my’Plugins’ menu for me to activate it.

I want to upgrade my wordpress to 2.6.2, does the automatic-upgrade plugin replace the process to upgrade to 2.6.2 (new version) for it is named “automatic-upgrade”?

When I try to upgrade it freezes. If I follow the first step it takes me to a blank white screen. If I follow the second choice with no back up i can get to the last step in the upgrade but when i hit “let’s go” it takes me to the white screen again, then just sits there. I’m not sure if there are other plugins that may interfere with it or if there is something wrong with my blog, it seems I get a lot of 500 server errors, especially when I try to install certain plugins, some just won’t load. One plugin that is given me the 500 server error recently was the new one click installer, it worked for a while then an upgrade with headspace 2 came up and here came the error, I found the one click installer was the problem. Some how it interfered with the headspace 2. Weird huh. I think I have gremlins. Please help with some exterminating so I can upgrade, I’m not real sure if I can do it manually.

wp-admin page disappeared after upgrade

Dear WordPress Community,

I upgraded from 2.5 to 2.5.1. Everything works except that I can no longer access my wp-admin screen i.e. I can’t find it, and there is no place to login. I get a “whoops that page isn’t here” error. I keep my wordpress files in a separate directory and thus use .htaccess file.

I should also note that I tried using the WordPress Automatic Upgrade Plugin recommended in the documentation (https://techie-buzz.com/wordpress-plugins/wordpress-automatic-upgrade-plugin.html)
and that’s when the problem (not being able to find wp-admin) started. I’m not sure if it changed file permissions or my plugins somehow. Anyhow, I tried manually upgrading and am still facing the same problem.

I’ve been trying solutions suggested from the support pages all weekend, but none have worked.

Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?

Upgrading to 2.5.1 and fonts problems

Hello. I upgraded my blog from 2.5 to 2.5.1 version, using “Automatic Upgrade Plugin”.
The upgrade is good but the fonts of the sidebar and of the footer are biggest. Why? The theme’s css isn’t different. And so? How Can I adjust this fonts?
