It is the 2nd month I am testing the free trial of Linguise and transitioning our website from WPML. The plugin does what it says and I am rather satisfied with it. I have to give special praise to the customer service. I have never experienced this much care with any customer service for any plugin, software or anything really. There was literally no request they didn’t satisfy and with the speed of light. From resolving incompatibilities with plugins we have been using for a long time to any question I had. I am considering purchasing TranslatePress for a website I am developing. I have a few questions:

Once the automatic translation feature is enabled, is it possible to exclude certain content from being translated? Specifically, since the blog will contain various articles, including scientific ones, I would like to keep these last ones in their original language (typically English). Ideally, I would like to specify that certain content blocks should not be translated, perhaps by using an HTML class.
After the first year of the license ends, if renewal is not necessary, will it still be possible to manually modify translated texts (including those translated automatically and not previously edited)? What functionalities are lost once the license expires?

Additionally, I am encountering some issues with the free version. I tested it on a temporary website and later installed it on the actual website after creating a backup. Initially, everything worked fine, and I began manually translating text from Italian to English. However, the following day, suddenly and for no apparent reason, I am no longer able to translate the pages: the loading animation in the editor continues indefinitely, and in Chrome’s console I see the following error message:

Mixed Content: The page at ‘https://istitutominds.it/contatti/?trp-edit-translation=true’ was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure frame ‘https://istitutominds.it/contatti/?trp-edit-translation=preview’. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.

This is the error reported by Firefox:

Furthermore, I am unable to load the homepage translated into English (https://istitutominds.it/en/) in the browser, while other pages load normally. I tried loading the backup created before the plugin installation and reinstalling it, but the problem persists. How can I resolve this issue?

A secondary issue concerns an apparent conflict with another plugin used for text animations (Typing Text – Give your texts many typing effects): when an element span is populated progressively to form a word (as if it were being typed), a text glitch occurs (you can see it here: https://istitutominds.it/en/chi-siamo/).

Disallow translated URLs (subdirectory)

I’ve been using translatepress for a long time, but I need help with the automatic translation.

If a user is in a Spanish page it will add the subdirectory automatically: site.com/es/content
And all the links inside this /es/ page that are internal links will be translated and also added the subdirectory to it. How can I disable this? I mean, how can I disable some links from receiving the subdirectory based on the current page?

My actual problem:
I have a translated page that has the subdirectory added to it (e.g site.com/es/content) and I have a internal link there that is a redirect link, that must not have the subdirectory to it, so the internal link must always be site.com/myRedirect, not site.com/es/myRedirect.

How can I make it work? I tried the options in the advanced tab, but it didn’t work.

Automatic Translations stoppt working

Hi, there,

we installed polylang free a few days ago. After correctly running thru the Setup Assistant everthing worked fine. Default Lang: German

We were able to to click on the +icon in the Post-List to setup a the respective post into English. So the the new post opened up and we could assign the English category. After clicking on PUBLISH the German post was automatically translated into English completely.

This does not work anymore. By clicking on + only an empty post is opened and when publishing, there will be no translated content…

Any advises for this?

LiteSpeed Cache and Translation

I’m facing issues when enabling the server side cache (LiteSpeed) on my WordPress installation. I’ve enabled the automatic translation on my side to match the visitors OS language. This works great, until I enable the LiteSpeed cache plugin (default configuration). Then, all users see my OS language instead of their own. Do you have any hint on how to solve that? There are tons of settings in light speed. How does the automatic translation work? Is it some javascript running when opening the side. Any hint is appreciated.

Auto translation suddenly can not be used, when translated to indo will show /id/ but the page is still in English.
I have checked to see if it was because the API key was showing error, but I tried new API key and it still showed error.

Why “Today’s character count:” did not follow the “Limit machine translation / characters per day”?

I have set my Limit machine translation / characters per day to 100. But after I activate the automatic translation, the “Today’s character count:” become 5920.

Does this mean that the automatic translation has translated 5920 characters for today? I need to ensure that I did not exceed the 500,000 character/month because I have a limited budget.
