I used the code from the stackexchange post (https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/a/188738/56503).
I added the code to functions.php and in the attachment template, I
added a line of text that said “you are viewing this image of ….
from echo get_parent_post_anchor(); gallery.
This text would appear on all the attachment pages like this –
But this hyperlink that appeared only shows
?foogallery=<gallery name> rather than showing the actual permalink
of the post where the gallery is located.
How can I get the actual post url?

I am NOT using the lightbox option. I am using the Attachment page option.
What I am trying to do is below each image show more images from the same gallery (if available)?
I reached out via email but there was no solution to this, so putting this on a public forum to see if anyone else had a similar requirement.
