Explanation: Under posts, after adding an attachment if we click on the edit button to edit the details of the attached media we didn’t find any description fields as we want to show the “Description” and also want to add the same facility to update that “Description” the same way we update captions and alt text and other details.
The procedure should be similar and should follow the same behavior as captions and alt text.
We don’t want to achieve the solution by playing around with the WP-core. So is there any Hook or way [NO WP-CORE] that can help us to achieve the solution for this problem
Thank you in advance.
]]>I have this on 2 sites right now and both sites have the same problem after I update the plugin. I have tried both checking and unchecking the Send Attachment as Links? checkbox and neither works.
The plugin works when I am on v1.3.3 but does not work when I try updating it to the latest version. I am on WordPress 5.5.1.
Note: This has been an issue ever since I tried updating to version 1.3.3.1, I just have not had the time to look into it so it’s remained out of date.
Here is the Contact->Drag & Drop screenshot from one of the sites
And the Contact form Mail tab
]]>I am currently working on a Download Area for my company’s website. My boss wants me to implement checkboxes, were the user can decide which flyer they want to download. After they submitted the form, they are supposed to receive an e-mail with the flyers attached based on what checkboxes they clicked.
I’m using the Mail to send the e-mail to the user, Mail (2) to send me an info, when someone uses the form.
Is that possible to do with the standard elements of Contact Form 7? Do I need a if/when code?
For background, I know that DOM Elements exist, but not how to do them or how exactly they work, maybe that helps in giving an answer.
As an alternative avoiding attachements, it would also be possible to send a download link based on the checkbox choices.
I hope someone can help me out or guide me to another way to do this. Thanks for your answers in advance!
]]>Here’s the idea:
Include a bulk delete posts feature in the plugin (free or pro).
So we can choose to delete old posts by date range or older than X and also when the posts are bulk deleted we have option to automatically deleted any associate/attached media for the post.
Currently using WP Bulk Delete plugin and “Bulk Delete” plugin to mass delete old posts. They don’t have ability to delete attached media when bulk deleting, which is too bad. So this seems like a great opportunity for a developer to take advantage of… one stop solution for bulk deleting posts and attached media all at once with a click.
Any thoughts on this? Thanks!
]]>I have a lot of attachements on my website which should only be visible for logged in users. The page which constist a list of all these files is hidden for logged out users, but the attachements themselves can be accessed via direct link/Google for logged out users.
In settings I’ve enabled the ‘attachement’ restriction and for the specific attachement I’ve indicated that it should only be accessible by logged in users (editors, authors, contributors and subscribers). Logged out users should be redirected to the login page, according to my settings. However, when I try to directly access the URL of the attachement (which is https://www.sportfysio-oost.nl/voor-leden/physical-rehabilitation-trainer/prt-3-bindweefsel-en-immobilisatie/ as permalink and https://www.sportfysio-oost.nl/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/PRT-3-BINDWEEFSEL-EN-IMMOBILISATIE.doc as file URL), I still can access it when logged out.
What am I overlooking?
]]>I’m not sure what the problem here might be. Maybe this commented code – found in class-wcpdf-main.php – is part of it:
// scheduled attachments cleanup – disabled for now
// add_action( ‘wp_scheduled_delete’, array( $this, ‘attachments_cleanup’) );
But since I can’t find anybody else complaining about it, i fear i’m the only one with this problem.
Maybe you could have a look and clear this up?
Thanks!
How can I insert multiple images into a post with custom url for all images when you click on them.
For now I pick every image and set custom url for click, and is really painful if you have more that 10 images. And I have a lot of posts to do with images. Is there any way to do it or any plugin for this?
Thanks guys!
]]>Is it possible to store the attachments at google drive using this plugin? I would like to avoid uploading files on my server.
Thank you
