Asset Optimisation might cause 404 for CSS

Twice now I’ve noticed that the CSS of my website breaks, looking into the network analysis I can see that an attempt to load a CSS file from the hummingbird-assets fails with a 404 status code.

In the waterfall tab you can see the cancelled attempt of loading a CSS file. Deleting the asset optimization cache seems to fix it, though I’m not 100% sure – it took a few tries for the website to display properly again, but that might be due to caching shenenigans. I use Cloudflare.

Page Caching issues after activating Asset Optimization

I’m seeing some strange behavior on my website when running Hummingbird Asset Optimization.

If AO is enabled, Page Caching numbers are very low (fewer than 10) or resets often to zero (this is *after* the automatic caching disabling period is over when AO is activated).

If I deactivate AO, Page Caching quickly returns to normal (caching hundreds of pages).

I’m stumped as what might be going on to cause that behavior?

hummingbird can’t find any assets

I just installed the hummingbird plugin, and for the first time I did go to Assets Optimization, and I could see all my assets (100+ assets).
now, after I click the “recheck files” buttons it always starts checking and then says “0 assets found!”

please let me know how to force-fix it. I have tried to remove and install the plugin again but nothing helps

all of them are a javascript error, and it dont allow me edit pages, products, posts and sliders from revolution slider… When I go to see those files that are making the issue, are optimized. Exist some way to solve this issue or unoptimized the javascript?

Hi!

I would like to thank you first for this great piece of work i really appreciate the effort put into this plugin and the user interface which is top notch.

I went through every setiing and everything works just fine except for the manual mode. When i try to bulk update and hit publish changes, I get a blank page with this message at the top: The link you followed has expired.

I just wanted to manually move css files to the footer so I can apply the above the fold setting.

What I tried to solve the issue:

– I disabled all my plugins except hummingbird.
– cleared my own browser’s cache.
– cleared All cache.
– Cleaned database.
– reset asset optimization settings.
– Uninstalled & reinstalled hummingbirg.
– increased php memory on the server level (it was 512 anayway).

Actual Characteristics for reference:

– WordPress latest version.
– blocksy “gardrobe” theme latest version.
– Redis connected & enabled.
– cloudflare connected & enabled.

Server level / PHP Settings:

– Php 7.4.30
– nginx with wordpress template & fastcgi enabled. ( Nginx also configured according
to hummingbird recommended settings)
– max_execution_time: 300
– memory_limit: 1024M
– upload_max_filesize: 500M
– post_max_size: 256M

i’m not sure what could be the source of the issue, i tried my best to find out without but still no reults.

Hi, I am getting the message “The link you followed has expired.” when I attempt to publish changes to the Asset Optimization manual settings. I have tried all suggestions on other posts (clear browser cache, server cache, and Hummingbird cache; edit php.ini memory and input vars values; delete Asset Optimization database data) and cannot seem to get around this. Please help!

Asset optimization is not loading files. I have tried severally. I get zero assets every time. I have also noted that my performance test gives the same results. It is not updating after a new test since I added Cloudflare. Kindly help me address these issues.

I tested the Hummingbird plugin in our development environment and it worked perfectly. So I proceeded to install and configure it in the production environment. Unfortunately, in the production environment the asset optimization does not work, not even a little bit. The files keep spinning even when we have loaded all the web pages.
Could you please help us with this problem?

Asset Optimization list is empty

Hello.

Today I am experiencing unusual problem today. In Asset Optimization section everything disappears. Assets list is empty. There is nothing there, neither option Automatic/Manual. After some time, it appears again then disappears again. On the other side, website is working like before and optimized.

I use your plugin for 2 years and today is the first time I experienced this problem.
