Social Icons displaying Squares in the Header

Hi @pitabas106

I am using Ascent theme version 3.8.3 and this got updated today.
After the update, the social icons on the right hand side of header are displaying as boxes and on the left hand side, the mail icon is now a box too.

I am using latest version of wordpress as well.

Need your help.

Nav-Below Missing [Ascent theme]

Scroll to the bottom and you notice there isn’t a Nav-below. This happened when I changed the home page to display blog posts by category using the content.php file. I’ve tried to place Nav-Below in this file every which way (including outside of the get_posts loop) and it always results in the Nav-below displaying after every blog post. How can I display Nav-Below only once, at the bottom of the page?

Multiple Page Rollover when Using Static Front Page

I recently changed from having a ‘latest post’ front page to having a ‘static front page’. I have used a Post Loop to populate only selected blog posts on my static front page. I have NOT defined a ‘posts page’ because I need to have selection criteria for which posts display.

The maximum number of posts displayed on a page is set to 5. I currently have 9 posts that meet the selection criteria for display. However, since changing to the ‘static front page’, the ‘Previous Page’ link to display the next 5 posts, is no longer available. I’d like to recover this ‘Previous Page’ link; what can I do to enable this?

removed top social media bar, now sticky header is hiding banner

Hello savvy guys!
I’ve got an issue I simply can’t get rid of. After I removed the gray and green top bar from the template, where the social media icons were (also removed), the sticky header is hiding the default banner when page is scrolled up. When just landed on any page, everything is fine, the header hides the banner only when page is scrolled up to the top.
Adjusting the main content padding didn’t help, I guess it has something to do with js.

My website is localhost only for test, sorry I can’t share it right now.

Any ideas please?

Remove Post Thumbnail on Ascent Theme

Hi All,

I’m trying to remove the thumbnail on the Ascent theme in my posts as they duplicate with the featured image.

However I am not sure how to do this.

On the content-single page of the templates I have found where it says ‘get_the_post_thumbnail’ but every time I remove it, it comes with an error.

I have tried to remove just that line, as well as the entire section that features it but I have no luck.

Can anyone help?

Featured images are pixelated now?

The images in my posts have all been fine until yesterday. Now, after I click on a link a few times the image suddenly becomes pixelated. This morning I installed regenerate thumbnails and let it run, but the images are still not back to their original glory. Any help would be appreciated.

Stop rewind on header

Hello everyone. I am currently using the Ascent theme on Wordress Version 4.1.1. I love the theme and image slider. However, is there a way to get the slider to stop rewinding to the first image? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi,

I installed the theme Ascent and received this error message:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /home/ashleyma/public_html/wp-content/themes/ascent/options-framework/includes/class-options-framework-admin.php on line 58

When I try to view my site ashleymaillouxdesign.com, I receive this error message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function _wp_filter_build_unique_id() in /home/ashleyma/public_html/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 84

I am not able to login to my wordpress admin section or do anything at all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
