App Icon Not Showing After Install

I had finished building my website to be used as a PWA, but when I installed it on my phone for testing, the only icon which shows on my Android device is the grey Default APP icon. My icon is the correct 192×192 size and is linked in the PWA setup page.

Any thoughts on why this has occurred?

I would like to ask about the following:

I see that my application icon has a little Chrome icon inside it once I added the website to homescreen. That didn′t happen when I added SuperPWA.com for the quick demo.

I also see that I can find SuperPWA in the device app list (able to uninstall), but not mine.

Why could that be happening?

I have just checked my logs and found 1000s of ?”/apple-touch-icon-152×152-precomposed.png” entries, plus a number of other apple errors.
Could someone please tell me how to prevent this? A fairly newbie to WordPress so would appreciate a simply worded reply.

WPTouch and Social Media Icons and APP Redirection

Hello. I’m using WPTouch free right now. I configured my social icons that were on my site. However, there is an extra icon on my site where clients can open tickets. Is there a way to also put in that icon somewhere with my social media icons? It is just a web address just like my facebook and twitter icons.

Site icon not displaying properly

When using the new site icon feature, I have no problem uploading the image, and it is displayed everywhere it should be displayed, but it is not being displayed properly.

In Safari on OS X, the favicon is shown as the right half of the image, but stretched to become square. When saving the site to my home screen on my iPhone, the icon is not stretched but heavily cropped.

The uploaded image is a square png, 512×512 pixels, and the image itself displays properly in Finder, Photoshop, etc (I’ve also tried with a jpg, but same issue).

I’m using the theme Hueman, with the latest update. This theme has an option to upload a 16×16 classic favicon as well, but I’m not using this option.

Can anyone help? Does anyone have the same issue?

Cleared the Cache – Icons are gone

Hi,

I needed to clear my cache, because it took too much space. About 450MB. I think its quite a lot. And its not that i have so many posts about apps. (https://feeny.nl/blog)

Anyway, i needed to clean up i decided. And i cleared the cache. Also i don’t want to cache the images locally. And i have set the screenshots to hide.

Now, i understand all images are gone. But is there a way that only the app icon will be visible again? Because they are not there anymore.
