I have the tracking code in the header of my website (gtag.js)
My problem is that I have now 2 trackings GA and the analysis of google analytics are distorted : I have a 0% rebound rate and it’s not normal (I checked with “google tag assistant”).
The cookies scan with complianz indicates the google analytics cookie and put the tracking code somewhere. I removed the tracking code by saying “no, I don’t have tracking” in the assistant but it still put the tracking code somewhere.
I checked in class-cookie.php because I suppose it might comes from here (maybe line 563) but I’m afraid to do somethig wrong.
I don’t want that complianz add the tracking code because that gives me faulse results in google analytics, how can I do ?
I hope there is a solution because your plugin is the greatest I found.

I just started using your plug in. I have a couple questions I need help on.
1) I entered my UA code in the plug in. Does this mean you now have access to my google analytics information?
2) How do I use Complianz Plug In to anonymize IPs? I think I set this up through your wizard, but it wasn’t very clear. Could you check if this is working on my site?
3) Could you check if your cookie blocker is working on my site?
4) If I am using your plug in. What do I need to include in my Privacy Policy about using your service to be GDPR compliant?

]]>on may 25th 2018 the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will become effective in the EU.
As far I’m in the process of implementing the GDPR I’ve seen one best practice will be to implement the anonymizeIP for google analytics.
I will implement it through GTM now but wondering if you will implement it in your plugin settings (and further regulations of the GDPR as well, if there are any)?

I like SlimStat very much and so I decided to use it instead of Piwik, but I have a little problem that I’d like you to help me with:
We have very strict laws about data privacy here in Germany.
To make sure that the usage of SlimStat isn’t illegal in this case, I have to meet the following requirements:
– The IP of the user has to be anonymized (e.g. the last two numbers cannot be seen,
I think this is possible, but I just did’nt find out how.
– The user needs to have a possibility to opt-out of cookies being saved on his computer. Piwik realizes this by giving this code that I can paste in my Privacy Policy:

I know that these are a lot of questions or wishes at once, but I hope that it’s understandable that I don’t want to break the law using SlimStat. I appreciate your help and I think that all other german users (or users who live in a country with similar law) agree with me when I say this.
