I am using Elementor in ‘wordpress’ theme to customize website. Currently, I have added an anchor menu widget to the ‘about’ section of the home page. I have gone into the menus section and added a custom link to url #about with link text ‘About Dr. Nurenberg’.
For some reason when I try clicking the link, the page does not scroll down to the about section. When I inspect the link, it doesn’t appear as a hyperlink like the other menu options do (they were added to the menu as links to actual pages and not custom links).
When I type ‘staging2.nurenberg.com/#about into the url search and press enter, it loads the website and scrolls down to the section properly. Just doesn’t work when I click ‘About Dr. Nurenberg’ in the home page menu.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and willing to tip for the assistance.
Thanks
]]>I have set my menu up with headings that I don’t want to be clickable.
I have used custom links with the link set to #.
I have then disabled the link in settings so the cursor doesn’t change on hover.
Everything looks and works perfectly it is just when I test the page on PageSpeed Insights I get a load of ‘Links are not crawlable’ warnings in the SEO section.
How can I fix this please??
]]>I have a URL https://jeug.co.za/skolier/#gids that has a anchor tag to go done to the same page, at the moment you can see it working underneath the login popup, but as soon as I login, the URL refreshes and get’s rid of the anchor tag. How can I fix this?
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

]]>I’m a big fan! And user.
I have several long pages, and I’d like the search results to include the name/anchor tag.
Eg, Within the pageThe term, a section in example.com/thispage.html is named with .
And the external link that would be returned by Relevanssi in Search result would be https://example.com/thispage#hello
I’m a programmer, and am happy to write a filter if/as required.
Thank you!
]]>However, if you click on “Contact” (which is a menu item set up with an anchor tag to #footer-acm), the view briefly positions correctly to the footer, but then after a second repositions to somewhere around the middle of the page, and suddenly the Events List widget is displaying a bunch of oversized calendar icons, a search bar, and an export link. This looks especially bad below the 1000px breakpoint, where these icons then expand to the full width of the window.
On my staging server for this website, I haven’t yet updated to WordPress 5.6 or Events Calendar 5.3.1, and this display issue does not occur.
Again, to see the display bug, visit our website homepage and click on the “Contact” link in the navigation bar. On screens under 1000px width, it positions to the footer properly, so to see the display issue, you have to scroll back up.
Thank you for your help with this issue.
Paul
After manually changing the anchor, remember to refresh summary block to make the links work!
Could you please advise on how to resolve this? Thanks!
]]>I’ve inspected the element in the email and taken a screen grab of the code. There is no href in the anchor tag, but the anchor tag is there.
Is there a setting in the plugin that I need to turn on to generate that link correctly?
Thank you.
