After installing the plugin and generating the API on the Amazon website and inputting the correct info but the Plugin and the Amazon API Scratpad give the error: Error 429
So far, I haven’t been able to make any successful requests. They always return the same error message: Error 429 – Too many requests.
I sent a message to the HELP center at Amazon. Still, I’m doubtful they will remedy the problem judging by all of the other people having the same issues and nothing actually mentioned about a fix at all.
Amazon’s excuse was that I didn’t have 3 sales which is BS because I have over 100 in the past two months. So Amazon is being a dick with Their API which I found out wasn’t an uncommon issue from a lot of Amazon Associates out there dealing with API problems.
Before getting this plugin, I recommend that you test the API on the Amazon Scratchpad first. If you get errors there, this plugin will not work.
I’ve stopped ripping my hair out dealing with Amazon Support and moved on to another ‘Working’ plugin with no API needed.
Pissed off because I really wanted to use this one too.
Can you please advise us on how we can add this? Does the plugin even support this currently? We paid for the pro version just so we could have this functionality.
]]>Since yesterday, an error is appearing in the Content Egg module when I search for a product on Amazon. The content of this error is the following :
“Error: InvalidSignature: The request has not been correctly signed. If you are using an AWS SDK, requests are signed for you automatically; otherwise, go to https://webservices.amazon.fr/paapi5/documentation/sending-request.html#signing.”
I did a google search and I haven’t found any topic about this problem with the Content Egg plug in.
It seems like the server is having a problem sending the correct signature. But the API keys I entered in Content Egg are the same than when I bought the plug in, and they did not change since. All was working perfectly until yesterday.
Could you please tell me what the problem could be ? And what should I do in order to correct this problem ?
Thanks in advance,
RJCombes
]]>If that’s the case, is there anything I can do about it? If not, what other possible reasons are there?
Thank you!
Cheers, Stefan
After resolving our first issue, setting up the plugin, we are sufering a new one.
On a first stage, things were working fine but, since a day ago, the 3rd party templates converter doesn’t work on our production server and the AALB tags are not converted. Log shows too many errors but always the same code:
“2020-03-31 06:45:20 https://webservices.amazon.es/paapi5/searchitems AAL_25527695ab501648316eb5ed8e7cfaba
https://saposyprincesas.elmundo.es/?debug=0
429: Too Many Requests TooManyRequests: The request was denied due to request throttling. Please verify the number of requests made per second to the Amazon Product Advertising API.”
We have the same configuration on our poreproduction server and everything works fine. Is there a way to control the number of requests made?
Thank you again for your quick response.
Regards.
for some reason, plug in “Amazon Images” is not working for me. Whenever I search for an item on Amazon, it returns “Service Unavailable”. Do you happen to know what other plugins it might be conflicting with (tried to deactivate others but didn’t help) or how I can solve this problem otherwise?
I made sure my Amazon API key, etc. is OK – so that’s not the problem. Weird.
My site I want to use it for is this: https://mycamperfriend.com/

Can anyone answer this? Hopefully an Amazon Rep.:
Does the 2019 Product Advertising API requirement change notification effect this “Amazon Associates Link Builder Plugin”?
So we all received this email from Amazon stating the following:
—- Start of email —–
Hi,
You are receiving this message in relation to your associate account ######. We are writing to inform you that we are changing our Amazon Product Advertising API (PA API) access and request limit terms in order to better align PA API availability with associates’ usage. Effective January 23, 2019:
To retain access to PA API, associates must refer at least one qualifying sale through PA API in the last 30 days.
The PA API request limit for each account will be calculated based on the qualified sales referred during the last 30 days.

Is the “Amazon Associates Link Builder” Plugin considered to be part of this since it uses API?
