I have many messages on my dashboard saying that I need to install WooCommerce. (for the other plugins to work) I used to have WooCommerce installed, but it is not showing up anywhere. When I try to install WooCommerce, I get the following message:
Destination folder already exists. /var/www/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/
How can I fix this issue?

Adding post type which already exists

Hi – I have working on a site for a client. The site already has custom post types and custom taxonomies registered. I would like to add them properly via the CPT UI plugin (using the appropriate same slug) but I get an error message saying the post type already exists. It does… because it is registered in a functions file within a special (written by original developer) plugin… but I can’t display it within the CPT UI plugin. Nor can I add it!
I do not have any post types or taxonomies listed within the CPT UI plugin – but I cannot add them! There are posts that I want to keep, hence trying to replicate the same slug.
Any pointers you can give me of what to check next? Huge thanks. I have checked through the forum and I believe it should be possible to add an existing CPT? The ones I have tried are “concerts” and “discography”

When a user logs in through fabebook and logs out, the next time he can log in through Facebook.

When a user logs in via Twitter, first the system redirects him to wp_login.php and requests email, I think that the system simply cannot get the user’s email from Twitter.

The next time the user wants to log in using Twitter, the system redirects and requests e-mail again, and if the user fills in an e-mail address with which he already registered, the system gives an error such as “e-mail already exists” .

The system cannot understand that the user wants to log in.

I’m a developer.

WP version: 4.8.5
Woocommerce Version: 3.2.6
Plugin Version: 1.2.9

What can I do here? I tried deleting the wp-config file but nothing changed on the error message.

So, I have a custom field at the woocommerce billing information form, and I need to avoid duplicated entries in my database.
Is there a way to make this happen and show an error message saying ‘Entered value already exists’?

Hi,

I cannot import WordPress.com blog into www.remarpro.com site.

I have been trying to import my wordpress.com blog – https://alexinwonderlandyoucankissmyart.wordpress.com — into my new www.remarpro.com site – www.AlexInWonderland.co.uk

I followed the instruction and exported my WordPress.com blog as a file (xml).
I then followed the instructions to import it into my www.remarpro.com site – I used the WordPress importer Version 0.6.1 but it did not work – it just said that the files already exists.
So I installed and tried the WP Re-Importer Version 1.1 but it still says that the posts already exists.

I’m pretty sure that the WordPress version I am using is 3.6.1 – my hosting is at 123-reg.

Please could someone help me with this, I really don’t understand what to do and the tools that are meant to help do not work. Thank you.

I’m trying to create my first custom post type with CPT-onomies. the name box turns red and says “That post type name already exists. Please choose another name.” in addition to the rest of the description below….

The name of the post type. This property is very important because it is used to reference the post type all throughout WordPress. This should contain only lowercase alphanumeric characters and underscores. Maximum is 20 characters. Be careful about changing this field once it has been set and you have created posts because the posts will not convert to the new name. This field is required.

I’ve tried several names including “hfuidn” but it still says it exists…

Could it be a plugin conflict? I’m using WP Document Revisions and Permit Press among others… Thanks,

.xml file uploads incorrectly when going from wordpress.com to www.remarpro.com

I recently moved my website from wordpress.com to www.remarpro.com, with hosting through Bluehost. The URL was angstromdesign.org and now it is angstromdesign.org (the same), but on www.remarpro.com. You get the idea.

I exported my old site by downloading a .xml file. When I go to the new site and try to Import the site (via the .xml file), I don’t change authorship and I check the box to “Download and Include File Attachments.” Yet the next screen that appears has a list of maybe half the links from my old website (definitely not all of them) and for each one, it says “IMAGE.jpg already exists.” And when I go to the front-end of the site, it’s still blank. None of my content from the last 2 years has been transferred.

Any idea how to get the upload and installation of the content on my new site going correctly? I don’t have any video files, only blog posts and images, so it shouldn’t be this hard. Also, the site just went live today (after I starting the process Thursday) so I don’t know if there is a waiting period before this will work.

Hoping someone can help. The old site is inaccessible now, so I am not sure how to recover the files if they were somehow not exported correctly. I wish there was a support number I could call for WordPress to see what they can do for me from their end; Bluehost has been great at answering hosting questions but unfortunately WordPress has not been nearly as helpful. I appreciate any insights floating around the user-sphere out there!

Trouble Importing please help

I’m trying to import an eXtended RSS (WXR) file with all my posts, pages, comments, custom fields, and categories from another site I have.

However I keep getting errors that say the files already exist despite me having gone and deleted everything. I also get this error…

Option Tree “Media” already exists

Is there any easy way for me to delete everything within this wordpress site or set the import files to overwrite the older files?
