Pollycast feed doesn’t work

Hello, I followed all the istructions I’ve read here https://aws.amazon.com/it/blogs/machine-learning/read-wordpress-sites-through-amazon-alexa-devices/ but when I try to add the RSS link generate by Pollycast I always receive this error message: “Unable to access your RSS feed. Make sure the URL is correct and publicly accessible.”
What do I do wrong?

Hi,
We are trying to expose Five Star Restaurant Reservations – WordPress Booking Plugin’s functionality through Amazon Alexa skill. We are trying to cover functionalities like checking is the requested time available, suggesting some other slots and creating the actual booking. Under the hood, we are using parts of Five Star Restaurant Reservations – WordPress Booking Plugin functions to have full compatibility, but there are few things that we are not sure if we are using it correctly.

1. Checking the time availability
Our users can ask for a particular time but we also want to give them several suggestions if the requested time is not available.
We managed to identify the parts for the suggestions from restaurant-reservations/includes/Ajax.class.php which populates the calendar when booking a table.
For this matter we used the code from the following functions:

get_time_slots
get_opening_hours
get_earliest_time

But sadly, we came across some issues. The first issues was that the suggested time was the first time which was the starting time of the weekly schedule definition which is not present when booking an table from the [booking-form] shortcode. The second issue was that the time was shown in the wrong time zone when using the date() function.

2. Time Zones
We do have our user’s time zone information. But it is not clear which one to use when using functionalities from Five Star Restaurant Reservations – WordPress Booking Plugin. Default WordPress time zone or is there some other logic to determine that.

Appointment booking via Amazon Alexa

We recently created a quite generic WP appointment booking solution via Amazon Alexa. The actual appointments management is delegated to the concrete plugins. We already have “Simply Schedule Appointments plugin” implementation and now we would like to support your plugin too.

Could be possible to get some support in understanding what plugin functions we should use or some other kind of contact to see what all options we have.

For this we are using \SSA_Availability_Functions->get_bookable_appointments($appointment_type, ['start_date_min' => $start_date, 'start_date_max' => $end_date]);.

What are the recommended values for ‘start_date_min’ and ‘start_date_max’? Should we load it from the appointment type data?

2. Time Zones
We do have our user’s time zone information. But it is not clear which one to use when calling SSA functions. Server, appointment type or is there some other logic to determine that.

3. Users
Do we need to import user information (create an account) into WordPress database or should it be able to accept ad hoc appointments?

We are going to certify website in Alexa Pro with putting their tag into section of website. But the problem is that all of AMP pages of our website do not access to that certify code. All normal pages are indexed and certified in Alexa except amp pages.

Please show a method how and where to put alexa certify code to index/certify amp pages of our website.

AWS for WordPress having a few issues

I have been trying to get this working for awhile I am not sure why it won’t setup. If you go to my blog articles text to speech is working. So no problem there.

So on the podcasts setup I am trying to find out why no episodes are showing up in itunes. it will validate https://blog.jaycollc.com/feed/amazon-pollycast/ just no episodes.

When I got to alexa blueprint it tells me https://blog.jaycollc.com/feed/amazon-pollycast/ is malformed. so I cannot set up rules.

Removing Default Excerpt from RSS Feed

We’re using a category RSS feed to create an Amazon Alexa Flash Briefing, but Alexa is only reading the portion of each article in the feed even though we have selected Full Text in the Reading settings. Is there a simple way to remove the excerpt entirely from the RSS feed? Our blog uses the Brixton theme. Thanks!
