Error Cannot create references to/from string offsets

Hi I was trying to get to the admin login and I get the error Cannot create references to/from string offsets. I did not set up my companies website but have been updating information in it and have not had any problems getting into it until now. I saw an older reference to this error but do not know how to get into it to fix it. Help

Admin page wont load

Hi, I’ve seen the other posts related to this issue and appreciate it is most likely to be theme/plug-in conflict.

however as this has been on on-going issue with this site (log-in page intermittently stops previewing) I am struggling to see the theme/plug-in conflict, ie: if there’s a conflict it would not be intermittent (we reset the page by using a 24hr previous back-up re-install)

So before we rip into plug-ins and spend a lot of time basically rebuilding the plug-in use I added a de-bug plug-in which on the most recent admin page issue has revealed this error

wp-includes/class-wp-user.php:734 – has_cap was called with an argument that is deprecated since version 2.0.0! Usage of user levels is deprecated. Use capabilities instead.

can anyone ID this message and advise a fix?

Http Error 500 when trying to enter or even log into wordpress on my website

Hey, I try to go to my website and received an http error 500 on every page, so to try to fix the website I went to the wp-admin page and it also gives me an http 500 error. How can I fix this?

when i try to use my admin page to log into wordpress after installing it using softaculous I click on my admin page and nothijng comes up my admin domain is “websitename”/wp-admin

Can't get into admin page

Everytime I go to my admin page I get the below error. Anyone know how to fix this?

Parse Error in wordpress fresh install.

I get this parse error

when I try accessing the https://sureskumar.com/noart/wp-admin/
the site https://sureskumar.com/noart/ works fine, just that I am not able to login to dashboard. Once my username password is correct, it shows this error.

I also tried downloading a fresh copy of wp 3.3.1 and uploaded via ftp. no luck.

wp forum server plugin get error with admin page

I have installed wp forum server plugin and it worked well in localhost. After I uploaded into my hosting(server)it worked well with the front end but when I login my admin page it showed “Error 500 – Internal server error” that’s why I can’t access admin page.

I have changed active_plugins row in database option_value field to: a:0:{} then i can access admin page but all plugins was deactivated. I start to activate the wp forum server again then it showed the same error(Error 500 – Internal server error).

I appreciate your effort to give me advice regarding this problem.

Hi,

I received this kind of error in WP after installing the plug-ins buddypress ajax chat :

Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_blog_option() in /home/pnvszfcf/public_html/gpsnavigation/wp-content/plugins/buddypress-ajax-chat/bp-chat.php on line 413

and now I don’t know how to fix it even the admin log in page has a fatal error. I can’t enter into the log-in page as it says the same error.

Both the admin site and the client site are in fatal error.

Please someone help me about this problem.

Nearly all my plugins have stopped working

Yesterday I changed my blog URL to make it look as if my wp is in the root directory instead of another folder by changing the settings in the admin panel and moving my .htaccess and index.php.

Then I noticed today I’m getting a lot of spam coming through, and that Bad Behavior and Challenge aren’t working (if you try to post a comment on my blog and leave the spam question blank, it accepts it). My theme switcher plugin isn’t working either, though as far as I can tell Cystats is.

I haven’t upgraded or touched anything else, Google couldn’t find me anyone with the same problem, and I’ve tried deactivating, uninstalling and reinstalling and activating with no difference. I can’t find anything in the settings which suggests I need to change a line of code or something to tell the plugins there’s a sort of redirect going on.

This may be somewhat related to another problem I’ve had for a while where certain pages and actions will randomly and inconsistently redirect to a 404 in the admin panel (despite the pages being CHMODed to 644 and existing in the right places and me checking for hacked code).

Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated. I’ve tried everything in the plugin troubleshooting list, so I can only assume it’s a problem with the blog url vs real url.
